Battle Brothers - Warriors of the North is now available DRM-free. If you don't own Battle Brothers you can get it 50% off until May 12th, 5 PM UTC.

The 'Warriors of the North' DLC for Battle Brothers expands the game with a more distinct northern region, as well as different starting scenarios to pick for your mercenary company. Face an entirely new faction of barbarians in battle, wear new viking and rus themed gear, and follow the legend of the ‘Ijirok’, a mythical creature of the frozen north!

ChrisGamer300: You know, you convinced me and that's a better way to put it i notice when re-reading it, it looks strange but it's the way of the art yes especially how the soldiers look anyway that's a small gripe when the game is as good as it is.
I actually really enjoyed the art style too. Beautiful, clean, crisp - and I don't even mind the little Weeble people ;)

Is anyone else having issues with the getting access to the new DLC (Warriors of the North) after purchase? I bought the DLC - got a receipt - and it is listed as in my library...But I can find no way to install it for my game. The launch screen says that the DLC is missing and that I can buy it on GOG.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?
No problems here.

Downloaded the offline backup installers for both the patch (1.2.0.25 to 1.3.0.12) and the DLCs ("Warriors of the North" as well as the corresponding "Nordic Banner" Supporter Edition Upgrade), installed them in that order and voila.

Swedrami: A kind of fitting description I read somewhere was:
"Jagged Alliance meets Battle Chess in a low fantasy alternate version of medieval Germany."
Interesting

I was able to manually intall the DLC. Not sure what the issue is with GOG Galaxy. We will see what happens tomorrow.

How did you do it?

Not sure what your issue is but you can always:
Go to your profile > Games > Search for "Battle Brothers" > Click on the game > A window opens and the bottom section says "Download Offline Backup Game Installers", a bit further down the list it says "DLC installers", download those, install, done.

Look here ---> https://www.gog.com/forum/battle_brothers/solution_to_warriors_of_the_north_dlc_not_working
Solution worked fine :)

EDIT

GOG fixed / patched it. Now it works with GOG Galaxy Launcher too. Thanks.

X-Com meets Darklands.

X-Com because your bros will get killed by the RNG throughout the game, but your equipment and financial solvency are more important than their lives. A farmer you were slowly leveling into a powerhouse may die to a stray crossbow bolt, but thanks to the money he made you on his journey you're able to replace him with an expensive hedge knight with higher base stats.

Darklands because of the game's dark low fantasy medieval Germany setting with lots of flavor text. It's a Grimm's fairy tales world (especially with the Beasts and Exploration DLC) with clear influences from Tolkien and Game of Thrones.
Just like "King's Bounty: Warriors of the North"!

Awesome. I love both of those games. I may give BB a try then.

The process described is what I ended up doing - but before the note was posted. (I did install and uninstall BB a few times because initially the DLC was not there despite my account telling me it was. after a few manual reinstalls they showed up.) As stated, it looks like the issue was in GOG Galaxy...although possibly some strange hung session with my account may have contributed but that is pure speculation on my part. Everything is good now.
