Battle Brothers - Warriors of the North is now available DRM-free. If you don't own Battle Brothers you can get it 50% off until May 12th, 5 PM UTC.

The 'Warriors of the North' DLC for Battle Brothers expands the game with a more distinct northern region, as well as different starting scenarios to pick for your mercenary company. Always when I read about the game, I feel like I'm missing something major in the game. Like I've played it hundreds of hours, but I don't even know what a "legendary" or a "boss" should be.

Hello, my name is BranjoHello and I'm here to tell you how good Battle Brothers is.

I'm a both a cheapskate and someone who at the moment has pretty low gaming budget.

I was lucky enough to be gifted Battle Brothers + 1st DLC several months ago and I spent almost 70 hours with it, having one of my most joyous (and of course "slightly" masochistic) time with a video game.

Now it's time to pay it forward. I just bought this at full price and sent the code to a GOGer friend who I know is dying (muahahahaha) to get back to the game.

And as soon as I see he has redeemed that, I'm going to buy a full price copy for myself as well even though I won't be returning to the game at this moment.

Thank you, Overhype Studios! It's a pleasure to throw money at you!

The artwork is gorgeous and creative. Just because everything isn't 3d doesn't make it look like crap visually. The art work is a style, but it definitely isn't crap. It's beautifully done and serves its many purposes.

You know when your brothers are injured, you feel the impact behind a swing from a two-handed weapon by seeing an enemy's head being lobbed off and you feel the tension from facing down the Undead as they teleport behind your archers and start murdering them and draining their life force to sustain their own wicked existence. All of this and more thanks to the artwork. Crap? Definitely not. A style? Yes.

You know, you convinced me and that's a better way to put it i notice when re-reading it, it looks strange but it's the way of the art yes especially how the soldiers look anyway that's a small gripe when the game is as good as it is.
