Hi!

I bought Witcher 3 + Expansion pass here on GOG for $52 but as soon as I bought it I found that G2A has a must cheaper version of this. The g2a copy is still on GOG, so I'm trying to save myself a bit of money here as it's hard to come by. I haven't done anything other submit a support ticket, I didn't even install/download it either.

It's been a few days without a reply and I'm dying to play the game.

Any help would be appreciated

Support Number: QQI87TS0
There is a very real chance for any key bought on G2A to be revoked though.
There are a lot of scammers on there and they're not a licensed reseller.

Im okay with the risk. I've used G2A for a few years and only ever had one problem with them which was fixed very quickly.

The GOG copy i bought from GOG Store is $52 whereas the G2A copy is $38. So I am looking for a refund to purely to buy a cheaper copy. Unless i was refunded the difference then that would also be fantastic.

Thanks

I also tweeted the gog team on twitter but they haven't replied there either :(
Well, now it's the weekend, so the chanches for a reply are quite low.
Btw G2A isn't an authorized GOG reseller, so you risk paying for the game and then seeing your game removed from your account..

Is anyone an authorized GOG reseller? I've never bought GOG games anywhere else so far just for that reason.
well first of all:
"3.3 Your GOG account and GOG content are personal to you. You can gift GOG games and GOG videos to other people (up to a limit of 5 per day and provided the recipient doesn’t already own the GOG game/video being gifted) however this might differ on a case by case basis, but you can't sell them or charge money for them."

So ya sellers selling GOG games most likely aren't in line with GOG's User Agreement

Also regarding G2A GOG Keys - tread carefully:

Just the first 5 Threads i could find ^^ - so ya there is a certain danger involved in obtaining G2A Keys for GOG.

Regarding GOG refunding you the difference not gonna happen as they have no dealings with G2A.
You might also want to ask yourself how it's even possible that the game is sold for $38 on G2A. The lowest base price it was ever sold for on GOG is $49.99. People from certain countries (Russia etc.) can get it for less money of course, but they can't buy gift codes for that price. So how is it possible to sell a code for $38 without losing money when no fraud is involved?
Well it's your money. Burn it as you wish.
Buying GOG games from G2A is one of the classic way of burning it without fire.

Generally I agree, but in this special case it could be possible. I've seen the Witcher 3 on Amazon and Media Markt for a lot less than the lowest (discounted) price on GOG. AFAIK the retail version can be activated on GOG.

Edit: @OP: Buy it retail, on Humble (should sell Witcher GOG keys) or keep the GOG version.

Also you are the first person who is actually regretting to buy games on GOG and want to buy it on G2A.
You are also the first person whining about purchase before purchasing from G2A most of people do that after buying from there. :P

You have to remember that gog.com is a CD RED (Witcher 1-3 developer) online store and G2A is a mostly stolen key reseller. So if you buy the game cheaper then on a sale on gog.com/Steam or its derivatives like Humble and other listed stores you are essentially buying a stolen key. There is very big chance you will loose the money you invested in G2A. There is a lot of us that are waiting for a more accessible price for the Witcher 3 pack on gog.com so you are not alone. It will come down in price soon either way since its an old game.

we are talking about The Witcher 3 Including Expansion Pass though (meaning Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone) - while a Media Market may have sold the retail version of the main game for like 40€ this aint the case for a "complete edition" as this complete edition doesnt even exist (at least to my knowledge)

Oh right, but the separate versions were still cheaper the last time I checked. I remember beeing annoyed that the undiscounted retail versions were 2 € cheaper than the “heavily discounted” GOG version.
