Haven't used any, so I can't comment. Same way I can't comment on any recent Linux releases, or any consoles.
Though my roommate did have a Windows Phone, and it was quite nice. Unsure if ARM or not though.

I think not^^
Windows RT was a full port of Windows to ARM. It worked as you would expect with a x86 device.

The biggest problem with RT had nothing to do with the quality of the port, and everything with the uneducated masses discovering that [I]none[/I] of their existing x86 software worked with it.

Is there any possibility to draw a bit more current from the pi?

I want to attach a reed relais, but at 5V they need around 500mA - so GPIO pins will probably not work (maximum is around 20mA I think) ... ?

"*Relays." As for the question, you could leech power off of a USB-power, they supply 500mA @ 5V.

There are 4 wires in a USB1.x/2.x - cable, so, well, the proper way of doing it is to short the two data-wires, and then use VCC and GROUND to draw power to your project. Shorting the two data-wires together signals to the system that the cable is a "charge-only" one and will supply per-spec 500mA@5V until unplugged. You could just leave the two data-wires as-is, but it's always safer to go with whatever the specs say.

It's not complicated, just requires a bit of tussling with the cables :)

I'm still pretty miffed, I bought a Raspberry Pi 2 from The Pi Hut (never...again...), and they shipped it across the ocean in an anti-static bag within an envelope. No box, nothing to protect it, and surprise, surprise it arrived non-functional (three weeks of anticipation down the crapper). I've been trying to get them to reimburse the cost of shipping and pay to ship it back since it was their negligence for shipping it poorly in the first place. Sadly, they have dragged their feet at every corner. Just a word of advice to anyone looking to get one, do NOT buy from The Pi Hut; stick to Pimoroni, Element 14, Adafruit, Canakit, etc... If you're in the market. It was an $80 lesson (with exchange rate) I won't soon forget.

Maybe in another 6+ months when I can afford another one I can get it from a store that doesn't screw it's customers over. :( I need to take pictures and send them to the Raspberry Pi Foundation to show them what one of their retailers has done to represent RPF. It probably won't result in anything, but they deserve to know.

Was that Emulation Station or PiMAME/PiPlay? I've used both and find the latter a lot easier on the Pi 1, but I haven't (can't really atm) had the opportunity to try ES with the Pi 2 yet. Either way it is a FANTASTIC device for emulation, and it's portability is a nice feature if you want something small to carry around with you. Also the touch screens/non touch screens from Adafruit are great for making the device even more compact. There are also a number of really well crafted tutorials for creating your own portable device using Lithium Ion batteries and voltage regulators. :)
