I am wonder do some games stay for transfer for ever? I know a game developer who will do this and wouldn't mind for it to stay there for transfer at anytime. so do some games stay there forever or are all games limited time?

Once you buy a game from GOG, it's yours forever. ( :

If it was time limited they would have to inform you of it, I have never seen that here though, don't think it exists.

when the internet falls apart you lose the games, and that won't happen till right before judgement, which si supposed to be 1335 days after the sign of revelations 12, which was September 23rd 2017, so you have until May 20th 2021 until the world burns and when it does you won't care.

Attached image of the star alignment, the crosshairs are on the 36 upon the 7th head of the serpent, notice it is a man made designation, and Corona Borealis (the crowns of the north, which there are 7) and the bootes (the ten horns) are upon the 7 head of Serpens.

You got 2 1/2 years yet, go play a game.

Are you talking about GOG Connect, a Steam-to-GOG transfer? (You will never get the opposite way here, though you may get free Steam keys from some devs if you buy their game here) GOG Connect is a time-limited thing, but GOG's Reclaim program is "forever" basically until the devs decide otherwise. Or The Witcher backup.

This.
@OP GOG connect is not a "transfer" like you described (transfer implies moving an object from one place to another), it's an offer to give you a GOG copy for a limited selection of games you own in your Steam library, and they only offer the registration at selected times. The decription says that the GOG copy is yours to keep, but they have a disclaimer that if you somehow lose the Steam copy from your library, they reserve the right to revoke your "GOG Connect" gifted one too. At least, I think that's what they mean. In practise? Dunno.
The Steam game remains in your steam library...and you are gifted a GOG copy in your GOG library (note the versions may differ e.g. Shadowrun Returns (Deluxe) in Steam resulted in a regular version from GOG. That's what GOG Connect is. Note: you will not get an extra key if you already owned the GOG version.
is it a limited time thing to claim each game are some games always on there. i get that u keep it. also is there a list of games that are on it?
GOG Connect only offers a small number of titles for a limited time only. The games you see listed on the GOG connect site are the only ones on offer at this moment.

GOG Connect is empty between offerings. Any games designed to be free permanently would be free for all on the store pages like Eschalon Book 1, Sang Froid, Shadow Warrior Classic and so on.

I believe Connect has always been a limited-time deal, I think normally around 3-7 days. "Reclaim your game" has a handful of titles that have been - so far - permanent. Or at least been on there for a very long time.

You can see which games are currently offered under the Connect program here: https://www.gog.com/connect.

That link is at the bottom of this forum page, and is found on many of the site's other pages, including your library. "Reclaim your game" also has a link down there.
