I know there are other topics talking about the new game page redesign, but I was worried that a post in those topics would just get buried and the GOG staff would miss this.

So I am using the galaxy client (please refrain from hitting me with a stick :P), and I noticed a big problem with the new game pages. Whenever you click on one of the screenshots to make them larger, the X button to close the screenshot is located behind the top bar, making it unclickable. Therefore, the only option is to leave the game page and go back to the store page, then find the game again to be able to see its game page without being blocked by the giant screenshots. Please fix this!

Also, I noticed a few people mention they can't see their own reviews, I checked to see if I could see mine (I only ever wrote one review :P), and I am unable. Unsure if this is a bug or an odd design choice, but I would like to be able to see if my review was found helpful or not...

If anyone has any more concerns or problems they would like to bring up, feel free to post it in this topic!

(Ps. Gog staff, please make an option to turn off auto play on the videos... Thanks! :D)

Edit: As of now, I can see my review! :D

Good idea. As posted in another thread:

I am having some trouble viewing the game pages in a mobile device (particularly in landscape mode). The first image in the gallery (which I believe is technically not part of the gallery proper, but what used to be the background picture instead) covers all the screen and makes it almost impossible to navigate. It's also unusually hard to slide one picture to see the next one (in portrait mode as well).

On Android, using Samsung Internet.
I´ll just copy my own concerns from the other thread then.

´I´m a bit nervous though about showing the amount of games owned without the option as to whether we want to share that info, as it makes it easier for people to weed out which accounts are the juiciest targets for hacking.
The only real thing missing now is a direct link from the store page to the relevant game forum and a way to edit reviews. Also, I liked gogmixes and hope they return in some form.´

I´m also experiencing no problems seeing my own reviews, so apparently this varies per account?

EDIT: Actually, I just checked and several of my reviews did disappear, but not all of them. Very strange.

This! Not just auto-play but auto-load, as my main concern is using data allowance when I don't want to watch a video.

This This
I can't see the volume controls for videos anymore I always keep it low until I want to hear it. Now no controls. Any Ideas Anyone?
Thanks
For some reason, after a period of time, game pages seem to freeze for me in that I can't scroll; they'll jump once in a while. I got the "page unresponsive" popup once. On Win 7 using Chrome.
What is very annoying is that apparently "popular achievements" is considered very important information.
It is listed before goodies or system requirements, so by someone's definition it's more important to see what kind of useless badges you can earn than it is to know whether the game will run on your computer.

Also, can someone explain the philosophy behind "popular achievements"?
How are those supposed to make the game more attractive to potential buyers? Even if I were a customer who cares for that kind of things (and I'm most certainly not!), wouldn't it make more sense to show what kind of achievements are rare? I have always assumed that the point of achievements is to show how good a player you think you are, so showing what most players have achieved doesn't make any sense to me, even less as a point of incentive for purchase.
It seems like some written reviews have disappeared.

I'll add myself to the 'please no auto-play' list.
Let me gather from what I already posted:

- Not working in IE11. Missing account menu, missing gallery section, just english listed in the languages section, missing system requirements section, single platform icon listed for games in the series section even if available for more, no games in related section, reviews not loading at all, and buttons not working, nothing happening if clicking search icon, edition pulldown, wishlist or even add to cart buttons, so no way to purchase either, which you'd think a commercial site would take particular care to work in any browser.
Rest of it applies to using it in Vivaldi, where the above doesn't apply:
- Autoplaying (or, as someone already mentioned, even autoloading) videos, and the lack of controls for them. (Vote here - interestingly, seems to add some votes now, thought wishlist wasn't working anymore?)
- Unable to see any of my own reviews anymore. Are they gone?
- Stuff way too large, yes.
- When you move through stuff in the gallery, can only see 4 thumbnails and they don't move over or flip to another "page" once you go past them, and clicking the arrows next to thumbnails flips to empty "pages". And to close the image modal you need to hit that X specifically, or press Esc, not enough to just click somewhere outside the image.
- GOGMix section vanished. Hardly a surprise considering how they couldn't be saved anymore for over a month now, but sure hope they'll bring them back.

It doesn't work on Netscape either. =(
The "Buy Series" is busted. It's either you can't see it like it Neverwinter Nights or not displayed properly like in the Witcher.
Autoplay is a no-go!

Oh, funny guy...
Actually what is funny is that just last night was talking to someone from tech support from somewhere else, got sidetracked a bit and actually mentioned the issues with GOG and IE and he was rather baffled, saying sure, it is deprecated and lesser used but will still receive support for years to come (and is default for a still very popular OS) so he'd expect at least commercial sites to make sure it works well. Should send him a link now and tell him to test GOG game pages in it instead of a reply to that. Actually, going to do just that...

I kind of like the new design and filter options for reviews.

I m used to the old format, so I could comment in a couple of days, as now reviews rating and other bits of info are a bit difficult to find.

One thing that I really find confusing are these "gif" images that break the game descriptions.
They are generally boring, as they repeat a few frames ad infinitum, and get in the way of a clean text.

If you really want to have a less boring wall of text, use static images with text wrapping around.
