Girl, you'll be a woman soon.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season, is now available for pre-order 10% off, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The scared little girl whose parents never returned home is now a fierce survivor on a mission: to build a home for herself and AJ, the orphaned boy under her care. It will require sacrifices, heartbreaking decisions, and vigilance. The last chapter in Clementine's gripping story brings unscripted combat sequences, more freedom of exploration, and the emotionally engaging brand of storytelling the series is known for.
The first episode "The Last Bullet" is scheduled for August 14.

pbaggers: You know. I'm actually curious about the "unscripted combat sequences" mentioned in the OP.

Can someone clarify what that means exactly? A proper combat system this time, rather than a cutscene with a bunch of QTEs? Regular QTE-fights with zombies, but they are placed randomly per playthrough? What exactly?

(For reference, I've only played Season 1)

Andrey82: Well, if the tech-demo video is true: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9USVc6w-DU

Then game might be more like TPS than previous games of the series.
Thanks for posting! As a Telltale fan since Season 1, I got increasingly dissapointed (and bored) by their latest releases and didn't even bother to buy the last couple of them. The new gameplay does look juicy though and makes me definitely want to play the game.

Awesome. Will def pick this up eventually. I have all the other ones here. Probably should play them again to get me hyped.

innerring: So I guess the choice is about whether Clem becomes a walker or is killed by a bullet to the head by AJ...
Don't say that... :'(

toxicTom: I hope they get the savegame import right this time. Embarrassing how they messed this simple thing up every fucking single time in this series...

Otherwise - awesome games, although the first is really the one that got under my skin the most.
What problems have there been? My save carried over fine for Season 2. New Frontier doesn't work on my laptop though, so I hope I can use saves cross-platform on my phone.

Import season 1 to 2 worked, however S1E1 to S1E2 didn't work for me. I had to manually create some directory and copy the save file over - it's been a while, can't remember the exact shenanigans.

S2 to NF was also broken. The transition via Telltale account didn't work at all - upload S2 was supposedly successful but NF couldn't see the save. Import on the same machine is also broken, but I managed to make it work:

The problem is the naming of the directory - "The Walking Dead Season 2" vs "The Walking Dead Season Two" - one is the folder S2 saves to, the other is the one NF expects them to be in...

amurgaming: Michonne (the three-chapter spin-off) is imo pretty sloppy overall, both from a storytelling and a technical point of view.
I dunno. I liked it more than season 2. [Haven't played season 3.] Michonne works a character in a morally gray world far better than most of the Telltale created ones.

Laberbacke: Why would they? This stuff sells.
Yeah, sad isn't it?
