Pre-order the third part of the cult FPS series!
Genre: Action
Planned release date: 1st March 2022
Discount: Pre-order the game on GOG and get your hands on the exclusive Koromodako Katana!
I've read that this one is going to be more of a straight foward FPS instead of the weird RPG hybrid thing that was SW2.

I guess that´s a step in the right direction?
But it seems like they are stretching it thin with this colorful stylization, Wang with hair makes sense (as he´s young), but with bald head was definitely more in line with the classic Shadow Warrior look.

Will wait for a discount.

Given the studio behind Shadow Warrior 3 donated to Anita Sarakeseen a known liar and manhater aswell as someone who was caught lying about actually enjoying games just wanting her own views catered to and it oddly worked .. then add some staff said she was consulted and they also was changing the game based on subjective views on what is and is not okay in dipecting cultures and races for how they portrayed things in Shadow warriors 1 and 2 I am likely to wait for this game to go dirt cheap as a result.. As while I am glad its her those factors all combined both doesn't bold well for the game and I am not of the mindset to rework people who work with a known sexist woman and hater of games aswell as hate both male and female gamers for varies stupid reasons .. Let alone the mindset phrasing they used is telling they couldn't separate real world politics from the work they did

I hope this game'll have proper levels without generic randomized level chunks, dropping the looter shooter aspects would be great as well...and the RPG elements.

Could be fun if this is a pure fps, like the first game.

While this would put great incentives for speedrunners, I'd rather would love several modes. The storymode should clearly have handcrafted levels, while there should be modes that drift more towards a more roguelike appoach.

So procedually (generic) levelgeneration only for these modes while the storymode has anything handcrafted like any major FPS game.
I still haven't finished the first one, barely made it to the mid part in the game.

What was wrong with Shadow Warrior 2? And is there any hope for those who didn't like Shadow Warrior 1? (I also remember the protagonist to be bald, in latest GOG version he has hairs, and it's not a Mandela effect this time or is it?)

Oh, and there is a pre-order item (see attached) so the only option to grab it is to pay the full price now. Never was a fan of such approach.

If you mean game desing lets just say the best to describe it many find is ''Borderlines mixed with Destiny with a eastern coat of paint'' and also ''Flanderizing Lo Wang to a massive degree aswell as quality of the story went way down'' as yes while in the reboot of the ip he was in a way immature and disrespectful it was still in a way he was serious and mature to a degree while also the story was serious on varies levels .. Yet in Shadow warriors 2 he is basically a snot nosed brat that insults everyone making unapologetic remarks all the time .. The storytelling doesn't take itself seriously.. While the gameplay is alright if one wants it for single player a good chunk of the game had clearly had a desing made more for multipler /co-op so a chunk of features a single player interested person won't use

Shadow Warrior 2 is pretty much a different genre than 1. It has more in common with Diablo than build-engine shooters. I think 2 is gorgeous and the lack of blade runner cities in the SW3 trailers has me worried. Approach 2 with the idea that it's a really action-y action RPG instead of a straight-up FPS and you'll have a good time. Plot's not as good a 1 though.

It's heading the Doom Eternal style

I'd rather keep the looter part, I had a whale of a time with it in SW2.
Immaculate hair?
Nah, I prefer a bald Lo Wang :P

Agreed here as while I like tighter focus factor in games.. the looter part of the second game was fun as it gave a person many ways to play and to be invested longer with more playability

... and I know I'm in the minority here but I quite liked and enjoyed SW2 as well, although it diverged from the classic FPS formula of SW1. I'm not so sure I'm going to like SW3 though, from what I've seen so far...

Not going to pre-order any game regardless of hype or anything else, I've learned my lesson with CP2077.
