Johnathanamz: SONY I think wants to test the waters with the PC video gamers to see if it does well. If it does well on PC they will probably port more older PlayStation (PS) exclusive video games to PC.
Honestly I think it's pure wishful thinking rather than anything grounded in reality. Sony want to rentabilize their purchase of Gakkai; opening it to other devices than only Playstation makes sense and barely require any extra effort (the PC and other devices support already existed for Gakkai). It also allows them to position themselves in the streaming market before Microsoft make it's move.

I really doubt if has anything to do with them giving a damn about PC market or anything like that.

I recall reading some way back that someone was looking into making M&KB (mouse + keyboard) an input unto Consoles.

I am perso a M&KB PC unconditional, but never felt awkward about game controller port unto PC games. If more persons can enjoy amazing "PC first" titles - good on u!

If a game is well written, fine combat mechanics are an improbable wish... or what? ;-)

OP notwithstanding, I swooped in to say: Playstation can "come" to PC only if the input is mouse & keyboard. (M&KB)

And be M&KB be the intent, even so: why is this a matter of "might" as opposed to plausible and positive support to PC gaming?

I'd love to see tons of Playstation games come to PC. However this isn't about that, this is about gracing the whole PC audience a chance to play games via paid streams, sorta like renting except worse.

As for supporting keyboard/mouse, as it's much like emulation the app will undoubtedly allow you to map key controls and it will just see it as a controller inputs on the server (like emulators do it). Mouse control? Not so sure, I wouldn't hold my breath. Far more likely Dpad and basic buttons will map, but analog sticks and mice don't necessarily mix very well.

i dont know if its worse
you can get a line up of ps3 games and all you need is a dual shock 4 a psn account and the ps now ap
and you dont have to have any investment beyond that
you get 300 games for 17 euro a month at your finger tips

and the games are risk free you dont cough up 60 and find out you hate the game
or cough up 60 and find out the game is barely 6 hours long

oddly enough though you can also stream ps3 games to the ps3 it self
id rather see it on the ps4 personally

Barry_Woodward: So, how long before we see PlayStation exclusives on GOG?

timppu: Streamed games can hardly be considered DRM-free, though.
Actually it's the ultimate form of DRM. Anyone who remembers the Sega Channel can tell you why this is a bad thing from a freedom standpoint.

I think your intent is good - plausibly, so there. There are fine games that should be enjoyed by as many gaming fans as possible.

As to the mouse - as a historical BioWare fan, I thought DA:Inquisition was a sloppy piss unto the eyes of the PC fans, but there I am probably unkind and hardcore.

But I was not thinking that M&KB should be enabled for console for PC fans, but rather that console fans might want to try it.
I'm more of a "Playstation No" kind of guy myself. :)
