>>Game-news sleuth Wario64 posted the discovery on Tuesday after mousing over an image promoting the upcoming PlayStation VR Worlds game. Upon doing so, a caption for something entirely different popped up: "PS Now on PC Announce Post by PlayStation Europe, on Flickr." Ars confirmed the caption was still live as of press time, though a peek at the blog post's metadata didn't point to any links to such a news post.

The news follows a report from French gaming news site Gamekult earlier in August that suggested PS Now would first be announced for Windows PCs in Europe on August 23, with American users getting a crack one week later. Amazon France may have also let the streaming cat out of the bag on Tuesday by launching a product page for a "DualShock USB adapter for PlayStation 4," which could be used to more easily connect the PS4's DualShock 4 controller to Windows PCs—though thanks to an empty product description, that's only speculation.<<

wel
that is interesting
it might just be a whole lot of nothing though and merely an error
but we wil have to see how this pans out if at all

if its actually a thing though
things might get interesting

edit :
its real sony has confirmed it

>>Update, 8/23 2:35 p.m. EDT: Sony has now confirmed both the DualShock USB Adaptor and the launch of PlayStation Now for Windows PCs. That service will launch in European territories on Wednesday, August 24; a North American launch of the game-streaming service will come "soon after."<<

The Last Of Us Remastered on PC plz!
Once the fiber comes to my poor area in France... I would like that service.
I can confirm it's 100% real.

A relative of mine who has PlayStation+ (PS)+ subscription got some access to PlayStation (PS) Now about a week ago to see if he can purchase some PlayStation 3 (PS3) exclusive video games for the service and he was able to.

With PlayStation 2 (PS2) exclusive video games coming to it later and then PlayStation (PS) exclusive video games as well.

Take it with a grain of salt if you want to from me though.

SONY did say like in 2014? That it's future will be software only and not so much hardware. They spun off their Camera and TV divisions if I remember correctly.

All they have left is Film making like movies the PlayStation consoles, and somewhat their mobile phones.
If this turns out to be true I wouldn't mind giving it a trial run, paid or not.
Time to make wishlist for every single PlayStation (PS), PlayStation 2 (PS2), PlayStation 3 (PS3), PlayStation Vita (PSV), and PlayStation Portable (PSP) exclusive video games?

In the hopes that SONY will eventually give in and port all of their exclusive video games to PC?

What's the harm that can be done? Other than a wishlist being made?
Maybe i am lucky. I still want that crappy game i got on steam before and was forced to refund, since the PC port of it was clunky, broken, lacking optimization completely and locked to 30 FPS! I bet directly PS3 would run just fine.

Also, i have more than a couple of PS1 + PS2 titles that i would buy. Emulator is good, but official support is always better, even if it forces me to pay for.
Since they expanded their Playstation Now service to non-Sony devices last year, this doesn't seem really seem so far-fetched.
Still, there is no Playstation Now for Europe as of yet (still in beta) and I have no idea what kind of connection you would need to maintain a streaming service such as this. Finally, there is the little matter of pricing... ($20 for one month, $45 for three months).
If this is about the streaming game service, then I see no reason why Sony wouldn't release it also for PC. Heck, they might even release it for XBox for all I know. It is all just extra money to them, people paying them for playing Playstation games, without buying a Sony console which Sony probably sells for loss anyway. Console companies don't really want to be in the hardware business (nor they really try to make much profit from hardware sales), they just want people to pay them for playing "their" games.

I have zero interest for it though, I don't generally like the idea of streamed games, unless maybe it if it some online multiplayer game in which case it doesn't make much difference I guess (I'd have to be online and connected to their gaming servers anyway, streamed or not).

You need to have very good internet connection for the video games to run smooth it seems.

Something which a lot of people don't have in the USA. I do though.
So, how long before we see PlayStation exclusives on GOG?

Who knows?

We will more likely see PlayStation (PS) Mobile on gog.com since they have two video games being sold on Steam.

Hell Divers and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture.

Streamed games can hardly be considered DRM-free, though.

Search for PlayStation (PS) Mobile on Steam.

You will see HELLDIVERS and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture.

It's only a matter of time before SONY realizes they are leaving money on the table from PC gamers wanting to purchase their video games and ported to the PC not streamed.
