Azhdar: Hope it will be Bloodlines 2. :)
To recapitulate: Obsidian and Paradox have gotten very chummy, the recent trademark filing, Boyarsky rejoins Cain, they'd probably use Unity for a Arcanum or ToEE sequel while Unreal is mostly used for 3D...I think it's a reasonable assumption, but we'll see.

Remake versions of Arcanum and The Temple of Elemental Evil are great ideas.

Waaaait! That Arcanum thing is just hypothetical, right?

I believe that IF they were to make something Arcanum related, they'd reuse the work Obsidian has done for Pillars with Unity (like they're doing with Tyranny). Since the new project uses the Unreal engine instead, I think it's far more likely something Bloodlines related.

Nothing Arcanum related has been announced, mentioned, hinted at, etc. etc. I'm really not sure who even owns the rights to it, though I hope it's the Troika trio.
I would love the did a Pathfinder inspired one.
Good to see it coming. It's the one recent CRPG that I really got into furiously and played a lot until I had finished it. I still need to get the expansion pack, though. :)

Maybe with all this revival momentum going on, they will consider it. I wish they would!
Would be nice of them to do a final PoE package, all the content in one. I brought the first, and it was alright, but not getting carried into the piecemeal approach that every game seems to need nowadays.

Well for it to really be the "Troika" you'd need all three, I don't know if Jason Anderson is even still in the games industry though.

Regarding PoE2 a sequel could be good, probably would be better in a completely different part of Eora (Arabian-like desert land, seeing as they already used "temperate medieval land" in the base game and "snowy viking north" in the expansion.

Mechanically there's some new things that weren't included in PoE, multi-classing, familiars and summon-able creatures, a more expansive skill system (better than just the 5 or so in the original). Oh and an XP skill that actually rewards you for winning battles :/
Of course.

Yet I always was more a fan of Obsidian than Pillars.

The first time around, one must do so. Now, I frankly await playful, humorous Obsidian style to game-writing. That admiration was the reason for PoE backing, to me.
