So, I'm a US user, and I've been unable to buy games via GOG due to the fact that I don't have a credit card and don't have/want Paypal.

It seems that the best option for me would be Paysafecard, but I've been unable to find reviews for it online, so I was wondering if anybody here would be able to tell me if they liked it, if they would use it again, etc.

Thanks!

I have been using it ever since GOG started supporting it (December 2013) and I have never looked back.

Same as Grargar. I use Paysafecard wherever it's accepted and it works like a charm.

The only bad thing bout safecard is that most sites (not gog) charge you about 10-15% fee for it. But it's a nice service and you can open your own account (which I recommend doing), buy code online or physical and add it to your account. All you need to do it log into your account whenever you want to pay and that's it. They also have a nice support team.
I started using Paysafecard in late 2013 and never had any issues with it, especially after they re-introduced the ability to combine multiple PINs in one payment.
I also have nothing bad to report about paysafecards. It`s an easy way to pay without leaving infos about you or your bank account!
You happen to notice not one USA member has it though? Because in the US you cannot get it. Thus yer kinda $h!t out of luck with that "service".

The retards that run the company(not gog) give false information on places you can buy it at as well. Which of course you can't >_>

People also mention buying online versions or credits....well that sorta defeats the purpose now doesn't it? I mean if I gave a crap about buying online I would think the multiple anger threads regarding this would be moot. The whole point is to not have to use credit/debit/paypal. Buy a physical item to use on gog, if I'm correct in thinking that is what the OP was regarding?

I've chat with a number of people on this forum about such a thing. Sadly all reports for USA members are negative. We don't get consideration even though we are the largest group. Go figure -_-

While I'm glad you folks in europe are able to use other methods, the rest of us seem not as important to GOG.

We can't control the fact that Paysafe is the way it is in the U.S., sorry.

Are you serious? :P
What's wrong with Paypal?Used it for years without any problems...

Paysafecard is a total different concept. It´s not about linking a bank account, but about buying "semi-anonymus" keys in Supermarkets, TrainStores and so on...
...advantage is that anonymus factor, disadvantage is that everybody who saw and remembers your key can steal the money you payed for it!

Thanks, for the info. When I transfer money to Paypal I use a separate bank account
setup for that purpose only.So scamers can have details on an empty account anytime.

Well I wasn't bad mouthing GOG or staff...or members >_>
I AM bad mouth Paysafe for detailing false information and not properly running their business.

On a side note, my tone perhaps towards GOG does change a little in regard to not giving a physical card option to use on GOG...like the 2000+ companies in the US have and GOG doesn't =(

The only response by the company folks at GOG was that yall need an american bank to cover the cash. But that is not correct.

Their could be easily implemented ways to do this AND not require a bank. A simple stipulation on the card itself, stating no refunds on physical card purchases; credit can only be redeemed on GOG.com. Done.

Then make the changes to the "redeem code" function, type in the code and the credit goes into a GOG "wallet" only to be used on this site. That isn't difficult. HEck a $2-5 cover payment for the card would even make GOG not have to spend anything to do this.

Yes =P

lol

I get it, people in europe are awesome...pretty girls too, but you gotta pander to the larger audience first mate. =D

If that happens to be european members...well I'll stand corrected if that is true. But seems unlikely as it is pretty difficult to compare to the well known fact that there are more american gamers than in europe (maybe minus russia...although the ruskies are cool, so don't fret!).

^ this

People don't always have a secure line and cards don't give any personal info.

funny thing to say, because when you want to buy an anonymizer service (vpn) you can't use an anonymous payment method like paysafecard :)

Irony ^_^

But I suppose if some one lived in the US you could technically. Create a corporation and have nothing associated with it of a personal nature. The disgusting thing how this could technically work is because the recent(within 10 years) laws passed on behalf of corporations in america; a corporation is on paper considered a living breathing human being. Now how fu**ed up is that? -_-
