I just came upon this thread, I hope it can stay active as I'm very much interested in games that can be fully experienced without devoting significant amounts of time to it. Definitely favorited!
I don't really understand in this day and age when people complain about a game being too short and then go on to complain about having unplayed game catalogs in the hundreds or thousands, yet continually adding more games to the list by purchasing them in bulk at prices substantially cheaper than any feature-length film.
But I digress.
I'm not sure if it was mentioned yet and you all may already know of it, but this site has come in handy for researching average game times:

Also, a few games to add to the list:
*
DEFCON *
Papo & Yo *
Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo - (this is actually a much better game than I expected -- the level of interactivity with every bit of the world is impressive)
*
Tengami Also,
Mirror's Edge is close... I could see it being a one-day game if pulling a marathon binge session, but in most cases I think it is more like a 2-3 day affair to get through the main story without a guide.
