They're hesitant because of GOG's weird policy of allowing no DRM.

Johnathanamz: If you did not read any of my earlier comments.
Guess what you are talking to a Microsoft investor on the gog.com forums, not a big player, a small player, but a Microsoft investor :).
Unless they have access to confidential information (most likely covered under NDA) I don't follow how someone owning 10 shares in Microsoft means that Microsoft is automatically confirmed for GOG. Microsoft probably will be coming to GOG in the not-too-distant future, but it's likely because the negotiations and talks for this deal are probably taking place now, and likely have been taking place for many years. Guess what you are talking to a Microsoft investor on the gog.com forums, not a big player, a small player, but a Microsoft investor :).
Johnathanamz: You seem to not know Microsoft lets free reign of indie video games self publishing their video games, which is what happened to the gog.com version of Dust: An Elysian Tale.
Go search Dust: An Elysian Tale on Steam and you will see Microsoft Studios publishes the Steam version of Dust: And Elysian Tale.
The publishers that Steam lists may not necessarily be the actual publishers of a given game, for a variety of reasons. If Microsoft is the publisher of the PC version of Dust, then why isn't it listed on its GOG game card? Go search Dust: An Elysian Tale on Steam and you will see Microsoft Studios publishes the Steam version of Dust: And Elysian Tale.
Johnathanamz: Don't forget Microsoft develops Windows and yet they let the video game developers of dust: An Elysian Tale release a version for Linux and Mac OS X.
I'm not entirely sure how this is relevant, as Microsoft has historically been one of the biggest and most important developers on the Macintosh platform. Kristian: "It's not like GOG would actually refuse to sell Sonic, Shenmue, Shining Force or Virtua Fighter here..."
Well, yeah, I'm not going to say that GOG isn't perfect in terms of accepting of games for its catalog, but it would be really implausible for GOG to refuse such iconic classic titles as those for its catalog, barring issues like Sega demanding DRM, regional restrictions, or more extreme pricing tiers for its games. I had originally assumed that regional licensing or pricing issues may have led to Sega games getting pulled from DotEmu, but if they're on GamersGate I can't see any reason why DotEmu couldn't sell them either.
