Starting over right now with a Dark Elf. Lets see if I can get past the docks this time!
Wish I could smooth out the FPS. I wonder if that's the mods?

You should spend some time in seyda neen ("dock city"), there are fun quests around the lighthouse (more crafty than what you could expect in the first village at the time).

Like I'm starting with a Dark Elf that I'd like to be able to make really good with a sword in a strait up fight, but also be crafty. Is Assassin any good or should I go Rogue?

Had a blast in the game. Still love the look of it today. Completed the main quest. It really took me back to some old games I played before its time.

Dark Elf is a good choice. (The devs liked dark elfs.) Long Swords are better than Short Swords I found. Even if your a crafty rogue type. I usually built my own class and skills, couldn't tell you about the preset ones.
Try to work on a bow and arrow slowly as a secondary weapon, it'll help with annoying flying enemies later on.

Can someone briefly explain the enchanting system? I know about getting the soul gem, but what about the actual menu itself? Magnitude? Let's just say that I'm trying to make an amulet to counteract a certain pair of shoes I may have found.
