A visual novel with a dash of stat raising, you will follow a story and make choices leading to one of the many good and bad endings of the game – Leap of Love is now available on GOG with a -30% discount that lasts until October 26th, 4 PM UTC, and alongside its Dark Princesses DLC and Safe Edition.

You play as Kaheroux, a frog turned prince by a shady wizard. The catch of that spell is that he needs to find and marry a princess within a month or go back to being a frog. Luckily for Kaheroux the local king has three daughters and a lovely wife.

Check it out!

pferreira1983: My point is that if something is tacked on to the point that censoring it doesn't alter anything to the game I'm not sure why it was included in the first place. No one buys these types of games for no erotic content.
And that is where you are completely wrong. These erotic scenes are in most cases a bonus and not the main focus. They are added because there are people that want them not because otherwise the game would not make any sense. A game like Evenicle would not be able to exist without the lewd scenes since it is integral to the main story ... a game like Leap of Faith could perfectly work without those scenes but there's also an audience who'd like to see things spiced up. A game like this is at heart a dating simulator with stats ... there's no NEED to see how the protagonist is having intercourse with his girl ... but there is an audience who'd like to see this as well.

MarkoH01: there is no market for violent games that got the violence removed (since the violence is mostly the main attraction in games like Doom)
According to the reviews, Super 3D Noah's Ark is one of the better total conversions for the Wolfenstein 3D engine.

Well, it is not Doom or Wolfenstein, right? It's a different game with a different approach which happens to be a 3D FPS. You would not want to see Doom or Wolfenstein though with the violence stripped away. We are talking about the SAME game with some elements removed and not different games with a similar engine.

pferreira1983: I don't get the point of a censored version of a game. Imagining Doom without blood is weird.
And yet a lot of FPS games have an option to turn the blood off.

Some people would argue, the German market is that market. XD

That's your opinion. I think they're tacked on.

But did it come as DLC?

Isn't "to tack on" the same as "to add"? Therefore you are sharing my opinion that the erotic scenes are not the main foxus in such games. But if you don't it makes me wonder if you have this opinion because you actually played such games or just because you "think" so.

No, normally it's it's an option you can turn on and off in the menu. But how does it change the fact that obviously a lot of players don't think it's weird to not want blood in their violent games (otherwise the option wouldn't be there)?

My point was in reference to them having the blood option as a DLC instead of it being part of the menu.

It's more that I have a critical understanding of story and atmosphere. If it's tacked on to the point it becomes DLC then what is the point? Include it as part of the main game as an option.

How can you have a "critical understanding of story and atmosphere" of something you obviously never tried?
Yes, they could have made it a DLC and ask additional money for the DLC - but by selling it the way they do now they disguise the fact that customers have to pay additional money for the uncensored version. It's just another marketing strategy.

Don't have it as DLC then.

They don't have it as DLC as you correctly pointed out. I fail to see your argument. They decided against a DLC so that they can earn more money. The only DLC they offer is also uncensored additional content for the already more expensive uncensored version - because those who prefer to get their games with all NSWF stuff inside usually are also willing to pay more money.

Okay I guess.
