okay, but more importantly
“While we were working on Steelrising, our love of the GreedFall universe never faded, and so we are thrilled to be returning to it,” said Jehanne Rousseau, Founder and Director of Spiders development studio. “In this new chapter, players will explore the old continent with its bigger and more diverse environments. They will meet new companions and new factions, and I hope they will have unforgettable adventures.”

GreedFall 2 is planned for release in 2024 on PC and consoles.

While reading, slightly distracted, I was thinking "But Jehanne is not the correct first name! It must be one of those alternate history characters.."
So we have a game about pre-steam-punk (Cloakpunk?) fantasy French Revolution by "J. Rousseau from 21st century"? :-O

Moreover, Aegis seems to come out of an anime fan creative trip, typical train of thought when brainstorming about innovating and combining settings. It could have started as "What if Oscar from The Rose of Versailles were also Sasori from Naruto?"
I don't mean to criticize, merging elements and references is frequent and not always the same as ripping if done creatively. In this case the combination is unexpected and kinda wild
