dudalb: Only good thing is that maybe Marvel Studios can get the rights back.
I'm not sure if I see that as a good thing. By all indications the biggest problem that Fant4stick had is just as present in Marvel Studios, maybe even more, and that's studio interference. It's impossible to say what the movie would be if the director had his way (unless we ever get the director's cut), but it's obvious that the movie we got was forced by the studio, with extensive rewrites and reshoots. And that problem is also big at Marvel. I've read numerous articles about
the problems the director of Thor: Dark World had, and the movie turned out a piece of shit. Even Joss Whedon, the guy who made the highest grossing superhero movie ever and cemented Marvels position didn't get to release the version of Age of Ultron he wanted. And the result is a vastly inferior, at best mediocre sequel. Edgar Wright was working for years on Ant-Man, a project he was very passionate about, until Marvel's iron fist (no, not the character... I think) pretty much forced him to either abandon his vision of the movie, or the movie all together. Marvel isn't a place to make good movies any more.
