Breja: Damn this looks like a disaster. I was expecting a poor reception, and I thought I will go see it regardless, but it looks like it's way worse then I thought. I don't believe reviews to much usually, I'm often at odds with majority opinions, but this looked pretty bad from the start with it's boring trailers and bland cast, and now it looks like no one is sticking up for it. No one. Including the movies director.

Ok, there are other movies with 9% on rotten tomatoes I like. Even like a lot. So maybe I should give "Fant4stick" a chance. But damn, this just looks so dull. Is there anything that makes it worth it? Anybody?
gee what a surprise another fantastic four disaster
the more i think about it the more i want to see the roger corman version

Yeah, but a 30% audience score for a comic movie? I'm not sure how many audience scores I've ever seen lower.
In the Name of a King Dungeon Siege Tale did 4% and 22%.
And Postal 8% and 33%...those are Uwe Boll numbers...

You should watch THESE 4.

Gonchi: Was an Eastern European cast as Doom? No? So much for diversity, I guess.

OneFiercePuppy: They probably tried to fly some people out to Latveria, make a few calls, and couldn't find anyone.

"Well, we have six thousand applicants from Romania."
"Romania? No. Get me a Latverian. I'm not going to make the social faux pas of getting someone from the wrong damn country!"
Why not from Latvia? That´s the closest alternative. :P

Eh, just go to the nearest gym. There's plenty of guys with large latvians or "lats" as we call them. But, make sure to pay attention to whom you're dealing with, some of them have imaginary latvian syndrome.
This movie has had a lot of bad reviews and I'm soooo surprised. :P Can't say I was sold on the idea to begin with.

Kate Mara's pretty. Course, her power is making herself invisible, so maybe...

Nah. I got nothin'

[url= On the bright side, I went on Fantastic 4's opening night and watched Ant Man, which of course had almost nobody there, so I got to see a *good* superhero movie on a big screen without a single screaming baby, plague-coughing adult, or obnoxious chain-texting jerkface. Since I don't think I'll be watching the movie, based on the terrible reviews (worse than PIXELS for god's sake), that's probably the only good thing I'll have to say about it. ][/url]
It's bombing very badly at the box office...might not do 30 Million this weekend, which is terrible for a big budget summer tentpole movie.
Combined with the horrible revies and the equally horrible word of mouth, it's a total disaster for Fox.
Only good thing is that maybe Marvel Studios can get the rights back.

As for the charecters, people are calling it "FFINO...Fantastic Four In Name Only" since Josh Trank, the writer director changed them so much. And from what I have read the character of Dr. Doom has been totally butchered.

I'm not sure if I see that as a good thing. By all indications the biggest problem that Fant4stick had is just as present in Marvel Studios, maybe even more, and that's studio interference. It's impossible to say what the movie would be if the director had his way (unless we ever get the director's cut), but it's obvious that the movie we got was forced by the studio, with extensive rewrites and reshoots. And that problem is also big at Marvel. I've read numerous articles about the problems the director of Thor: Dark World had, and the movie turned out a piece of shit. Even Joss Whedon, the guy who made the highest grossing superhero movie ever and cemented Marvels position didn't get to release the version of Age of Ultron he wanted. And the result is a vastly inferior, at best mediocre sequel. Edgar Wright was working for years on Ant-Man, a project he was very passionate about, until Marvel's iron fist (no, not the character... I think) pretty much forced him to either abandon his vision of the movie, or the movie all together. Marvel isn't a place to make good movies any more.

The Thing was the only character I wanted to see in the movie because he looked Badass.
The first Fantastic 4 films were from 2005 and 2007, and now... restarting again??? It seems Hollywood people are not able to create another film based on another script from the comics. Do they have to start the story again? Pfff, this video comes to my mind:

I don´t like the new design character. The history doesn´t seems to be better. By the way the FF comic was realy cancel? I heard marvel was thinking in doing that.

It was. The characters are being redistributed around other series. Although I'm not sure what new status quo will be, as far as I understand the entire Marvel Universe has gone full flashpoint.

they have cancelled FF at least 3 times before mostly in the 90's
this is nothing new the old status quo will return its just a question of when

and that full flash point is secret wars it seems to be a full reboot of the entire marvel universe
if it will stick is another question
Surprise Surprise

The movie is awful and the critics and audience alike hate it.

What a trainwreck for a movie.
