I open a topic because the crossplay between different platforms (GOG, Steam and Epic) and operating systems (Windows, Mac OS and Linux) was very requested and it's definitely a welcome surprise for this relatively old game.

Before it was difficult to find a group to play the various multiplayer modes or unlock the rarest items, but now it should no longer be a problem.

It could also be a hint that Techland hasn't forgotten about GOG, and maybe Dying Light 2 will come sooner than expected.

Thanks for the heads-up. I wouldn't have known this if you didn't post it here.

That is indeed great news and most welcome.

It would have been a lot more welcome many years ago when game first came out, but I guess it's better late than never.

I remember the GOG version of this game caused me lots of frustration since I couldn't reliably find multiplayer partners to play with in Galaxy-only multiplayer, and I couldn't do the multiplayer-based DLCs, I couldn't get the weapon that specifically requires co-operation between multiple players in multiplayer in order to acquire it, etc.

And/or maybe they are planning to release another collected edition of Dyling Light 1 here again But yes heres hoping Dyling Light 2 and other techland games come here as this update shows they aren't just forgetting games here outside of releasing more paid content
Awesome, we definitely need more stuff like this. There's no reason that crossplay shouldn't exist between all platforms (ESPECIALLY on PC).
I got a question to ask, I have never purchased Dying Light because it has multiplayer and I do not know if Dying Light has A Server Browser List for it's multiplayer.

Does Dying Light's multiplayer have A Server Browser List? If it does I will purchase it. I have video games that have multiplayer on PC, but use Peer to Peer (P2P) and have no Server Browser Lists.

Also if Techland has not forgotten about gog.com I wish Techland would make a fully functioning multiplayer for Crime Cities and add support for Dedicated Servers.

That's very cool! Thanks.

Techland should toss us Chrome and Specforce already.
I mean, cross-platform is better than single-platform, but it's still remote-server-requisite. Unless they added peer connections?

A properly designed game has peer-to-peer play available, and also a properly designed game doesn't have, quoting ARD, "I couldn't get the weapon that specifically requires co-operation between multiple players in multiplayer in order to acquire it, etc".

Right. Pretty much equivalent to people celebrating the demise of the Bugthesda launcher yet still having to log in to play their Bugthesda games, or Scheme users rejoicing that Denuvo was removed even though Schemeworks DRM remains. These companies release a product that is double, triple, maybe even quadruple DRMed to the hilt, then years later remove a layer or two, just in time for the new entry in the series (presumably fully DRMed to the hilt) to release and render the slightly "better" old game irrelevant for finding players, since they're all on the new one. I'm not speaking of any individual user, only generally, when I say it's mindboggling that people can't see the same patterns repeating over and over. The contexts aren't even that different.

One could additionally suggest that "features" such as platform-level achievements enable these walled gardens where users are fractioned off arbitrarily into different corporate playgrounds and never allowed to play together, but that might be too hot of a take that would derail this topic, lol.
Maybe they'll let us have docket access now, too. The only way we've been getting items from those is through events. We missed out on the Ox Warrior Bundle, though. Still waiting to see if we get tAlternator from the last event.
"Nuclear Throne is updated after being released on the Epic Store".
"Dying Light gets crossplay after being released on the Epic Store".

Hmmmm......
So nobody has an answer to give me to my question?

Do I really have to spend money to purchase Dying Light to see if Dying Light has this?

I think it only has lobby searchs not server searches but I could be wrong as I never play the multiplayer aspect of it and with my spotty interent currently.. Aswell as it not installed at the moment could take me afew days to check .. Purely for my net troubles and four 4 days I will be busy so unsure how long I'd need to get it fully downloaded to check..
Anyone know If you will be able to Private internet games on the GoG version then?

Our only choice was LAN or EVERYBODY
Finally!! Crossplay should have existed since always, but better late than never.
