wolfsrain: Gonna make a list with the patch order, as there are still people with the DVD's and no GOG version.

Will post it here and on the NWN forums, so everyone could use it.
Here's the one I made. Mind you, it assumes that you're installing both expansions, and is best used with the unofficial patcher by tnt220. All the files below can be found on Neverwinter Vault.

1) Full install of NWN2

2) Manually install these patches in this order:
nwn2_pc_english_from100788_to104860
nwn2_pc_english_from104860_to104870
nwn2_pc_english_from104870_to105910
nwn2_pc_english_from105910_to105912
nwn2_pc_english_from105912_to106972
nwn2_pc_english_from106972_to106973
nwn2_pc_english_from106973_to106980
nwn2_pc_english_from106980_to1101115

3) Full Install of MOTB

4) Manually install these patches in this order:
nwn2_pcx1_english_from1101115_to1101116
nwn2_pcx1_english_from1101116_to1111152
nwn2_pcx1_english_from1111152_to1111153
nwn2_pcx1_english_from1111153_to1121295
nwn2_pcx1_english_from1121295_to1131407
nwn2_pcx1_english_from1131407_to1131409
nwn2_pcx1_english_from1131409_to1211549
nwn2_pcx1_english_from1211549_to1221586

5) Make a backup of the voices file (vo_x1.zip) that the SOZ install damages

6) Full install of SOZ

7) Replace vo_x1.zip

8) Manually install these patches in this order:
nwn2_pcx2_scriptfix_from1201541_to1201541.zip nwn2_pcx2_english_from1201541_to1211549

this community has surprised me again with its genirosity
today when i first logged on the forum i found a message with somebody giving me never winter nights 2
just like that

incroyable
Ummm... yeah. I can't remember how to patch Witcher 3. It's very hard for me. So... um... man. It's hard. It's like impossible. So... yeah.

*wink and nod*
good god i remember the nwn 2 patching it was a nightmare specially when you plan to use community mods as well .

I believe gog version provides the most complete edition not sure if all the premium modules were included.

my advise dump the retail version and buy the gog one.

Only the modfix patch missing from the list. But, mostly, it's very accurate.

Tweak it a bit and add it on the NWN forums, too and we are golden.

There was only one 'premium module' for NWN2, which was Mysteries of Westgate. The GOG version includes everything (Base game, Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate).

What exactly is the modfix for? I've never encountered any issues without it.
Can't seem to find the patches for NWN2...

...but this is a pretty good guide on installing & modding NWN2:

Yeah, I bought NWN2: Complete from GOG when I got a coupon for it - yeah, not too long ago; it was $6 - to basically get Mysteries of Westgate (since I was missing that) and so I did NOT have to deal w/ the crazy patching situation.

Even then, to get NWN2 Complete going on W10 properly, still had to do some stuff.
1. Had to install DirectPlay (when Microsoft asked to, when booting this old game; it helps on older games for W10)
2. Installed Tchos' HD Panels to fix the somewhat blurry UI - https://www.nexusmods.com/neverwinter2/mods/81
3. Install DGVoodoo (to fix up any DirectX 9 issues/weirdness)
4. Install NWN2 Client Extension just to get rid of the stutter-walking issues.
