i have dusted off and installed nwm 2 again in another ( probably futile ) attempt to play it
however the autopatcher doesnt work
it cant find the neccesary patches from atari or obsidian

where can i find the patches
and which patches do i need to download ?

there are quite a few and my base game is at 1.00

i downloaded a patch from the patches scrolls and that brough my game up to 1.04.860


or am i best off buying the complete edition on here ?

or is 1.04 the last version for the base game ?

It'll probably be easier to rebuy/pirate the game :-P Faster too.

Now wait a bit while I'm looking for a source of it that isn't a torrent site or isn't in Russian (or both).

Buy the game here. Neverwinter Nights 2 had the worst patching system I have ever seen, with no possibility of offline patching if you didn't resort to an unofficial patcher and patches that had to be applied in a correct order lest game-breaking bugs occurred.

They are still hosted on the Neverwinter vault. Can't remember the order you should apply them, though.

The version that is here on GOG is much improved over the 1.04 base game. I have played the game since ALPHA. The title should have never left BioWares hands but Atari decided to go lowball. Many of the items that were promised never were made and they literally stole code from fans to fix stuff since the fans seemed to be better programmers than they were, Obsidion, not Bioware.

I got off track :P

The version here plays very well and would be a much better improvement than the one that you have now.

Gonna make a list with the patch order, as there are still people with the DVD's and no GOG version.

Will post it here and on the NWN forums, so everyone could use it.

I remember trying to get the patches and patching the game(s) before... Not sure if i ever succeeded correctly...

Would be nice if all the patches were bunched together in a single zip, with a batch file that applied the patches to the game in the proper order...

Even though this seems to be solved, I did some digging and found that Atari seems to have lots of patches in their FTP-site, unfortunately I can't say if these are correct ones so there's something to test for someone.
