It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

GameRager: On a more serious note, you seemed to be claiming DRM was mandatory and all devs needed to use it in their games.

teceem: Who's talking about devs? Is this a developer forum? Not/never optional for the end user.
Post 50 makes it sound like you claim devs all have to use drm.

And it is optional(even for the consumer) for most bought games if you are morally flexible. Unless they watch you 24/7 or hold a gun to your head it is never mandatory for anyone of more flexible morals.

(By that I meant buying then cracking, not pirating....in case anyone thought I meant otherwise)

Post 50 tries to say that even developers might use Photoshop for their work (Creative Cloud DRM) or play games at home (with Denuvo on, perhaps).

Sure, everything is optional in life. Maybe we're all tears in the eye of the giant god turtle.
Did you know that some games were never cracked? And if one day streaming games takes over - no games ever will be again.

Oh and in case I'm being downrepped by other misunderstanders:
DISCLAIMER: I hate DRM!

Then I misunderstood, and for that I owe you an apology/beer of your choice.

Some games were never cracked likely due to no interest(most crackers do so for the challenge and fame, not to always play said games), and even if the DRM cannot be cracked now it may be eventually, or the devs might port and the port might be easier to crack/drm free itself.

As for streaming: I remain optimistic. Would scraping data as it enters a streamer's system work along with other "hacks" or no?

I also hate DRM, and don't worry....the points mean nothing, after all.

Yeah, but also for example some Blizzard stuff: Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 DLC, Starcraft 1 Remaster

With streaming like Google Stadia, the player only receives a video stream.

Well D3's 360 version is essentially DRM free and works without being logged in. One would only need to port it to PC/etc. I dunno about the others.

Damn.....well an insider could always leak data files every so often....well until they got caught anyhow.

But in the end I think offline gaming will always be a thing, even if a niche "hipster"/nostalgic thing like we have now with 'retro' gaming.
Looks like Zoom Platform created a discord, apparently they are making moves to update the website. Could be cool to have other drm free options and communities.
