Atreyu666: I've been using Paypal since 2008 and they never tried to "rob" me. I'm pretty sure you're doing something wrong, just like your text formatting...
I hear Paypal does shave some money when transferring between currencies. But between the same currency they can't as it is too obvious.

They also had a thing where you could send up to $200 a month without fees to people, as seen as giving money to friends or family for paying for food or things. But again works best between the same currency, and 'friends' doesn't have a business protection to force a refund in the event of a scam or bad seller.

GuRuAsaki2098: It's clear from the Payment Policy on GOG, that America has to figure out some way to Convert US Dollars into a form of Money that is acceptable by GOG to buy Video Games from...
I was sure the credit card transaction system they had set up handled that; Though they didn't like gift visas for some reason, probably because those are intended within the US and not internationally.

My advice is not to buy digital goods right now. If you can't own the product you're buying (including transferring or selling said game to someone else), best not to spend.

GilesHabibula: How about something like a pre-paid Visa card straight from Visa?
Make sure it's an international one, as Cirux (or whatever the bank is) is not within the US.

Every payment provider does if they have to convert currency. I don't understand why PayPal gets singled out here.

Amazon does it if you shop in another region's store and choose payment conversion through Amazon. Your credit card issuer does it if you pay with CC and let them convert currency. Sometimes they even take an extra percentage of the transaction on top of the already worse conversion rate. ATMs in another country do it if you let them convert currency during withdrawal. Every time you convert currency, be it cash or digital, you will pay more than the official exchange rate. Even your own bank will not give you the official exchange rate, although at least when it's not cash usually your bank will have the best exchange rate out of all the other options.

That's why you always pay/withdraw in the local currency and let your bank handle the conversion.

Because it isn't suppose to. Or at least that's how it looks in the agreement.

When i was in korea in 2006, i'd get 1000 won for $1, and it was stable. Course i was in the military and it was a military ATM, so....

mmmm... I remember an exchange station in the airport when coming back from Korea with my leftover currency (something like $12 worth). They wanted to keep like 30%-40% of the money. I flipped them the bird and i still got that currency.
The Problem With Pay Pal Was That They Have This Thing
Called Hidden Fees...

If You Don't Spend Your Money Within A Given Timelimit,
Pay Pal Seems To Take A Fee Out Of Your Pay Pal Account,
& Over Time That Fee Builds Up, o_@

At Least That Is How I Understood It...

Not Only That, But I Had A Difficult
Time Trying To Find Anything To
Spend The Pay Pal On, Because
Everything I Was Trying To Buy
Was Becoming Declined...

ATM Was How I Got The Money Out...

As For The Whole Visa Gift Card Many Of You Mentioned??

I Have Already Tried That, But The Reason
It's Denying Me For Doing That? Is Because
Of The Fact That I'm Not Using A Gift Card
That Supports This Country I'm Buying From, ~_~

So The Currency For Visa Gift Card Doesn't Work...

It's Not Like Old Visa Gift Cards That Can Be Used Anywhere...
These Can Only Be Used In Our Country, ~_~
