I will make the English subtitle file available on the website, should be by this weekend. You are welcome to use it, or translate it, or whatever you like!

Hooray, thanks Lorien. Just to clarify, the subtitle will be available here on GOG with the movie or at the movie official website? Also, as the subtitle already exists, I'd like to have the Esperanto subtitle available as well, if it's not to much to ask =D

Sure, I'll see about getting them all posted.

As to the earlier question, I'm going to see if I can get subtitles added to the GOG offering, but in conjunction with that, I'm also going to put them up on the website. I have heard that FLV player, for example, will look for subtitles in the folder the file it's playing is, and overlay them if it finds them. So in that scenario, you just need the file in its proper format.

I've got a lot going on this weekend, but I'll try to get all this taken care of. I suppose dropbox is probably the best option...

yyahoo: So, that poor guy that was told by GOG that they wouldn't sell his movie because GOG wasn't accepting any new movies any more... Exactly how bad was his movie??
To be fair, these last couple of games that have been released here might well have been accepted by GOG months ago, and are only now coming out of the pipeline. For all we know, GOG might, in fact, not be accepting submissions for movies anymore.

Good point, but there was a huge delay between movie releases there for a while, which does suggest (rightfully or not) that the movies weren't signed yet. Granted, that may not be true, but the delay between releases was very odd and what initially suggested that GOG was getting out of the movie business in the first place...

I'm not invested in GOG movies one way or the other, but I can only imagine what that guy went through when GOG released movies after telling him they weren't accepting any more. It would be like a woman rejecting you by telling you that she doesn't have time to date right now, only to see her on a date with someone a week later... :)

I can't really think GOG would straight-up lie to a prospective client about that, though. They've always been a curated store, and they have apparently rejected a number of games for the store over the years; I can't imagine that when they consider, then reject, some game submitted to them by its publisher or developer, that they give them the line, "We're not accepting game submissions anymore." It's a lazy sort of lie that would soon become obvious as such, and I'd imagine in business it would be a good way to burn some bridges.

I've made a fast try. Looks like it needs some reformatting to work with VideoLAN and the timing is off for the "720p" version here in GOG.com. I'll take a better look and post more information.

Anyway, this is good news, I feel confident that I will be able to see the movie with properly synced subtitles next weekend.
Oh, I thought it was a poorer version of the tiny house living fad...
I've got the English subtitles working with VideoLAN. I had to reformat the file from

0001 00:00:50:18 00:00:51:30 My grandfather taught us
how to play, you know,

to

1
00:00:50,180 --> 00:00:51,300
My grandfather taught us
how to play, you know,

and add 8 seconds to the times for better syncing

2068 days later is not a while. This is like you're trying to do a Weekend at Bernies with the Mungo Man.

(Read: Let the dead rest, dammit.)

I'm not even sure RamenRa even attends to these forums anymore.
