Gede: Doom 3 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein are considered "classics" already? Boy, that makes me feel out of touch with new games!

Thank you for your work.

skeletonbow: The term "classic" refers to the quality/class/rank of something rather than to its age as is often misunderstood.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classic

Something can be brand new and be "classic".
Thank you for taking the time to provide me a language lesson, skeletonbow.

I do not recall ever seeing "classic" being used without an "historical" context associated to it. Unless it is explicitly modified, as in "a modern classic" or "an instant classic". Maybe it is meant and I was oblivious to it. I will pay more attention to this.

It really wasn't meant that way, sorry you were offended.
Another Update:

Updated the Return to Castle Wolfenstein package from iortcw 1.42b to 1.42d. The dev fixed a full screen issue where it affected some people using open source GPU drivers.

Soon I will resume working on the Quake 1 package.

No, I think I am the one who should apologise. I really meant what I said literally, and it appears it could have been read as sarcasm. It was not my intent. It is nice to see people putting an effort to politely correct or elucidate other people. I have no problem in learning things from others, and I am grateful for their time, effort and good intentions in trying to make me better.
I should start using more happy faces, maybe? :-)

Oh ok, my bad. :) Yeah, it kind of sucks that inflection/tone/mood/accent of words do not carry through in textual communication, it can cause a lot of confusion at times. :)

I have been on both sides of this problem, and with people I know well!

And have you tried to speak with a tone that conflicts with what you are saying? Oh the confusion it causes!
Small Update:

Re-uploaded the Return To Castle Wolfenstein patches to address a few issues I missed with the GOG version.

Have a good day :-)
