Gede: Doom 3 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein are considered "classics" already? Boy, that makes me feel out of touch with new games!

Something can be brand new and be "classic".
I do not recall ever seeing "classic" being used without an "historical" context associated to it. Unless it is explicitly modified, as in "a modern classic" or "an instant classic". Maybe it is meant and I was oblivious to it. I will pay more attention to this.
