Nice! I wonder if I can find my Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

If anyone does have the BFG edtion of Doom 3, check out the following:

https://github.com/RobertBeckebans/RBDOOM-3-BFG

That version can be used for Linux or Windows, and it's just better all around than the shipped build of the game.

The Doom 3 patches I uploaded include both the official 1.3.1.1304 and the latest dhewm3 build. I forgot to mention this in the post above :-)
Doom 3 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein are considered "classics" already? Boy, that makes me feel out of touch with new games!

Thank you for your work.
Small Update:

Added the package for the Doom I, II & Ultimate games. I don't own the Master Levels but they should also work just as good. :-)

Still wondering if GOG will get the id Software games soon...
What a wonderful job you've done!
Thanks!
Does Heretic, HeXen and HeXen II count as id Software classics? If they do, you can run Heretic and HeXen on GZDoom and you can use Hammer of Thyrion for HeXen II.

There are also source ports for Quake 1+2+3. Just ask if you need a link for those.
I think something wrong with RtCW links, won't work for me.. that one works: https://code.google.com/p/iortcw/

I just tried the links and they work fine for me, patches download and all.

Anyone else with same issue?

Sure, and thanks :-)

I don't have Quake 1 + 2 yet so I won't be able to do a patch for those yet but I will keep the links for future reference. As for Quake 3, I will be doing one with the ioquake3 port next.

OK then.

Quake 1: DarkPlaces
Quake 2: KMQuake II

Do keep in mind that the Steam versions don't come with the soundtracks for Quake 1+2, so you should try searching the Steam forum for the Ultimate patches.

Had to be temporary problem, works fine now..
Time flies and I didn't realize I created this thread almost a year ago. I've made a few updates to get back on track with things:

1) The Patch for Doom 3 was updated to dhewm3 version 1.4.

2) Quake II has been added to the list (there's a dedicated thread for this game).

I will add an entry for Quake 1 (based on Darkplaces) after I finish a few final touches.
Please run Doom 1 & 2 in Zandronum / Doomseeker, you won't disappoint ! =)

Gede: Doom 3 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein are considered "classics" already? Boy, that makes me feel out of touch with new games!

Thank you for your work.
The term "classic" refers to the quality/class/rank of something rather than to its age as is often misunderstood.

http://www.dictionary.com/browse/classic
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classic

Something can be brand new and be "classic".
