Fever_Discordia: LucasArts should be fully covered but I'm only put a selection of the pure Disney ones on (including 'Pure', ironically) remember that AFAIK Disney fully own Tron, Mickey Mouse etc. so a lot more is fair game that usual - feel free to request anything you want me to look at adding!
As I understand from the GOG announcement their deal with Disney only cover Lucasarts catalog (at least for now).
avatar
Fever_Discordia: Ok the Disney (LucasArts) section is up! Remember that Indy Jones and Star Wars are already partially here so they're over on Damien's list
avatar
JMich: Doesn't Disney also own Marvel? So there are quite some more games to be added to that list.
Hmm good point but nothing actually published by Disney Interactive themselves on that list, I guess you COULD say that, for instance, Activision are here and Disney are here so MAYBE they could work something out (I was looking at this with Capcom and Ducktales Remastered, actually) but.. let's just ignore it for now, I think!
Plus with Spiderman games based on the films Sony might have some say in their rights and I think X-Men are with some other film studio too, aren't they?
Thanks for pointing that out though!

Yeah, maybe I could take that line to make things easier for myself, I'll leave the Disney stuff I've already put on though as there clearly IS a publishing relationship between GOG and Disney now...

Great job updating the thread! Awesome to now have a Disney/LucasArts section here! :-)

Time then to think of a new example for your rules section (unsigned publishers), as Monkey Island has finally arrived, hallelujah, praise the lord!. ;-)

Cheers, glad my thread is appreciated!
Not sure what you mean by 'unsigned publishers' though
A list of games we COULD get if certain publishers were signed by GOG would be an idea for a whole other thread IMO - or is that not what you meant?
"2014-11-07
Removed "Rocket Ranger (Cinemaware)" as GOG released both the PC and Amiga versions in a pack today"
Nice!

Oh no no, I meant that in the very first post of this thread, in the part where you explain which games would not qualify for this topic, you still have Monkey Island and LucasArts as an example for the 'no games from unsigned publishers' rule. :-). Right about here:
avatar
Fever_Discordia: Lets see which original, non-licensed IP are missing from GOG from publishers we have signed
Rules:
No games from unsigned publishers (no GTA from Take 2 or Monkey Island from Lucas Arts / Disney)
Since LucasArts is now a signed publisher, a new example there is needed to replace Monkey Island, and I was just wondering which game would be as legendary as that one to replace it, that's all. ;-) You still have GTA from Take2 there, that one will do fine of course. :-)

Do'h NOW that makes more sense! Sorry!

"No games from unsigned publishers (no GTA from Take 2 or Elder Scrolls series from Bethesda / Zenimax)"
Hope you like!

Actually, reading that again, another tweak:
"No games from unsigned publishers (no GTA series from Rockstar / Take 2 or Elder Scrolls series from Bethesda / Zenimax)"

Ooooh, yes, hadn't even thought of Bethesda, perfect replacement indeed! Was trying to think of a good example from Microsoft, but didn't get much further than Midtown Madness, and while I would love to see that game here, it doesn't even come close in popularity to most of LucasArts titles. Elder Scrolls however, you bet! :-)
Big Red Racing from SquareEnix via Domark->Eidos

Yep, that checks out - added, thanks

Yeah, it was either that or Zenimax also own id so Doom, Quake etc.
I just prefer RPGs to FPSes, I think!

Oh, didn't know they also owned id as well! Not much of an FPSer here either. :-)

Also think I found another Sierra game (man, they had so many games back in the day! :-o ) that might qualify for the list:

Detroit, a strategy game made by Impressions and originally published by Sierra -> Activision.
Mobygames link
Actually looks like a pretty neat game that I would love to check out!

Yep, that checks out, added, thanks
I also added a note in 'changes' to say that I should do a Paradox section now that Pillars of Eternity has been announced as a pre-order

Nice thread! Just reading through, there's an old Disney-based game I own not on your list - Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Was developed by Traveller's Tales and published by Activision. Was also released for Dreamcast. Would be nice to replace my aged boxed copy with a GoG release.
Updated the Soldak section for the release of Drox Operative

Penumbra series (Frictional) (Were on GOG, removed 2014-09-01)
Penumbra has returned to GOG. You can remove this section if you want.
