I loved M&M 6-8 but I still don't know what to think about this game. It doesn't help that I don't have much trust in Ubi these days.

That's what their shooting for, It's already been in development for some time. Honestly, I hope they take their time with the new game as we been without a new Might and Magic game for over a decade.

Just in case you are wondering. This game will use the same DRM that just got hacked.

What are the alternatives? GOG might as well end up being hacked tomorrow for all we know, even Valve had their Steam database compromised a while ago.

Ubisoft has one of the worst DRM ever. The Uplay-Program had half a dozens Security problems in the last year and still they keep on torturing the legit buyers with that. At I never see any other DRM that just drop you out of your game without allow you to save/resume your progress - in a Single Player game.

The always online thing you are complaining about ended like 4 years ago. It's identical to Steam now.

As for account security, Blizzard and Valve have been hacked multiple times. It's not uncommon. Only way to be risk-free from that is to never use accounts on anything, which includes GOG.

Yeah I was even thinking about possibly buying this via UPlay until the recent hacking thing. Nope, they can release it here or it's TPB. Not a dime if they can't even promise to protect my personal information.
