Seb369: All Worms on Promo!
This game is on Royal Mail Stamp! : )
This could have been a nice GOG game list (deprecated as of now). A few classics there. Several of them still not in GOG!

I loved a predecessor of Worms, without worms, that was shareware a long time ago. It was cool at the time. Maybe it was tank war or maybe another name. No movement, so it was really about artillery exchanges in 2D. Had a lot of fun in hot seat with 4 players. Evil laughter was heard now and then. No doubt the idea for Worms started there.

So Worms was the same but with charming characters and a few laughts. The problem for someone who missed the series completely (but for some brushes with Worms and Worms 2 in hotseat 4-5 players back in college): What might the best version to get into Worms as of now? Which would you recommend for starters? Getting back to the original Worms? Do you think it is even worth for SP?

wolfsite: If you are referring to Mount & Blade II I have never played it or any game in the series.

RedRagan: The gameplay for Bannerlord was praised and loved by people who waited 10 years for it to be released. I saw a lot of videos and it looking very good.
I have been a diehard supported of Mount & Blade since before Warband. Still to try Bannerlord, but definitely I will.

Seb369: : ) Thanks! I still do think that Worms W.M.D. has it all, as for starters as for experienced players.
There are New Worms on the horizon https://youtu.be/DIF9T0dWAuA Worms Rumble Real-Time, but this is completely different game, looks exciting tho.
Thanks for the tip! I will go for it then :)
