That is a kick ass album. My website reviewed it quite recently. Very 80's!

What people consider metal these days is nothing but noise. If you go back to the late 70's and 80's you'll find real heavy metal. Something Battle Beast takes a lot of influence from. :P

Dude - we have so much so heavy metal here, that its always nice when some metal band pulls out something like ballad :D

Most of Battle Beast is something like this: Let it roar -> bit cheesy stuff in old skool manner. Which i like.

While i do like stuff like say Deathchain, or [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5264L7XGdpM]Dolorian for example - i dont limitmyself very much.

(ive posted alot to this thread in the past)

You've got a funny idea of a ballad lol.

Any one listening to Venom's new album?

yes :D

Then something totally different.

2 Times Terror - Ikävässä Paikassa
Turmion Kätilöt - Rehtori
Dead End Finland - Fragments Of The Innocent
INSOMNIUM - While We Sleep
Falchion- Kingdom of Dust
Relax, people. :) I thought I made it clear that was a joke.

I'm all for variety in metal too. To be honest, I really liked that retro electronic start but the vocals ruined it for me.

That second song is brutal! I have to check out the full album. Thanks.
I'm listening to the title track of Quiet Riot's Metal Health album, what a song and what an album. Quiet Riot is one of the 80s bands that catches a lot of flack but they released some great albums and Kevin DuBrow (while not having the best range) had one of the most unique and powerful voices in that scene. One thing that stands out about that album compared to its contemporaries is just how full and solid it sounds sonically. I heard that Frankie FINALLY has the documentary ready to come out, it's only been how many years since it was first announced?

Great band. They had a fantastic front man, back when heavy metal singers could actually sing! Though it is always a bit sad to see them taking Slade's thunder haha.

Yeah, though I'm sure Slade appreciated the royalty checks! I always liked the story about nobody in Quiet Riot wanting to cover Cum On Feel The Noize, with Kevin going to a burger joint while they were laying down the basic tracks.

Edit: Have you heard their pre-Metal Health albums, the two they did with Randy Rhodes, before Frankie was in the band? Talk about sounding like Slade...

They were effectively a slade tribute but a damn fine one at that haha. I much prefer their earlier material. Especially being a Slade fan and all. Talking of heavy metal, Slade are one criminally underrated band. Screw this cookie monster growly pish and blare Til Deaf Do Us Part! :D

Slade is awesome, so is the Sweet from that "too heavy to be thrown in with T.Rex and Mott The Hoople but not heavy enough to be thrown in with Judas Priest or Motorhead" scene. No disrespect intended towards Mot The Hoople or T.Rex, depending on what day it is I might call T.Rex my favorite band.

Sweet are amazing, they were some great musicians. Shame the band was basically condemned. Mott The Hoople are great, I saw them not long ago and they still kick ass live.
That Venom a new album totally greats hope it's available soon at my local record and also nice website darthspudius :)
