Cheers! Kinda funny really as about ten years ago i did some writing for the mag. Hoping it'll get me some extra work!
Perhaps a little beat-driven for some of you, but my favourite album By Godflesh - two of the guys who also started Napalm Death

Arteveld: So, King Diamond is back, and his back on the road after all those bypasses and shit! His first gig took place in Poland[after 12 years, yay!], sadly, i couldn't attend [again:(].
Anyhow, he opened the gig with a song from the first album, where he utilized a lot of the falsetto, and went pretty high too. He can still pull it off!

King Diamond - The Candle/Welcome Home live@Hala Kolo, Warsaw, 29.05.2013
Perhaps the guy from Slayer should have taken care of his pipes better, because he can't even come close to the high notes from Reign in Blood.

Yeah, Araya lost his range somewhere in the early 90s, i really miss his early shieks, especially since i really dislike his post SoH shouting. Long like the King!:)

Oh, and i just got my ears fucked my Black Sabbath's '13' CD version, yeah, we can always count on Rick to f'uck it up.

PS> ya I do know it's not 100% Metal, It's Industrial Rock :D
Just caught some TV program on metal and they had Dave Mustaine on the show rating five of his earlier albums. According to Mustaine, So Far, So Good was his worst album, Killing is my Business 4th, Peace Sells 3rd, Rust in Peace was 2nd, While Countdown to Extinction he rated as his best...Number 1 and 2 surprised everyone on the show. Everyone thought Rust should be the number 1. And he had no reservations of So Far, So good was his worst album...kind of made it sound like it was the worst out of all his albums.
I think he did mention during recording of Countdown, it was silky smooth experience. No drugs, no alcohol, no addiction, no tension among band mates, nothing. Beside it was a commercial success. Maybe that's why he always regard it as his best.

So Far So Good, for me it have couple of good songs but i can understand why Dave dislike it. It's like a train wreck experience for him after the excellence of Peace Sells just a year before.

Not sure about being sober for the music recording, but he did say while recording the video for Sweating bullets he was sober when it started but by the time he finished he was really drunk and kicked a hole in the wall of the studio.
Lovelorn Dolls - After Dark

Love the remark the Band left on the Video:

A small message to the listeners who appreciate this song. Do not hesitate to spread the word and listen to the whole album available everywhere : shops, webshops, Deezer, Spotify, Itunes and even tons of torrents ;)

Thanx a lot :)
