DodoGeo: Yeah, Dio is pretty much the essence of metal for me with older bands like Maiden, Judas and other stuff that nowadays would be considered Rock.

Can't stand the new wave lead by Nordic bands and all the hybrid stuff.

wormholewizards: Looking forward to Megadeth's Super Collider. Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson are like Yin and yang. One can be asshole at time and lacking some sort of sensitivity, but a talented musician, composer, lyricist and guitarist. A heavy metal virtuoso that any musician could only imagine to be. While another one is very down to earth human being, never had a bad press, massive spotlight, but also very talented musician.
I stopped listening to Megadeth simply because Mustaine is a piece of filth.... after listening to half of the bullshit he talks about nowadays I can't respect &/or take him/his music seriously. I wish David would leave again & form a new band with Nick, Marty & a new singer.

I have listened to Manowar... I own Kings of Metal & have for at least 5 years now. I'm not a huge fan of them, but they are at least decent.

Believe me... if you name it, I've probably heard it. I'm not intelligent on most things, but music is one thing I have an insanely high IQ in (not just metal either). I have an extremely low musical attention span & am always in search of new bands/artists... let me tell you.... that pool is getting a bit thin.
