JinKazaragi: Indie games can be nice but it's not enough to let a store grow beyond a certain point.
I am not sure we need another steam. There is one already. I'd prefer GOG to stay focused on the old games market. This may not earn them millions, I know.
I don't like the sound of some comments or statements about Galaxy, in my opinion it should stay completely optional (excepting MP in some cases) I don't want to start again to crack every game I buy just to be able to play it without a client (I dont like forced clients no matter if they're offline or not).

mechmouse: Thanks for the info.
I'm very impressed and glad CDPR got the backing back then.
Here is a very good article about their past difficulties: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-11-06-seeing-red-the-story-of-cd-projekt

I don't want them to become another steam I would like them to become a DRM-Free alternative to Steam.

And growing into a big competitor wouldn't mean to neglect the old games, having a stronger position would even improve the chances of certain older games coming here.

I'm pretty sure the new classic and indie releases, as well as the existing catalogue, will stay 100% DRM-free. But those new 3rd party AAAs mentioned in the conference documents? We better start liking Galaxy for those.
They're going to tell us what the hell they've done to Marcin?

No way will the gog PC gamers accept GoG Galaxy to not be fully optional.

If gog.com so much tries to make GoG Galaxy be a requirement for video games there will be a big riot.

No way I start liking or even accepting forced clients, if that happens I won't buy those games or in rare cases at least wait until it's cheap and for a crack which makes it optional.
I doubt they want to make Galaxy the gog version of Steamworks DRM... do they?

MacArthur: .

And for GOG :

GOG.com in 2016:
- Release of an AAA game unaffiliated with GOG, with full support of GOG Galaxy
.
An AAA Game in 2016? As in singular? One planned AAA game that year? oO
How do they take questions from the community? I have a few - when do they plan to release Witcher 3 for Linux and will it use Vulkan?

Catshade: How do you define AAA, anyway? When I heard AAA, I immediately think of EA/Ubisoft/Activision/Take 2's flagship titles, and I don't see them doing that (full Galaxy support for multiplayer).

Is Divinity: Original Sin 2 an AAA game? I can see Larian Studios doing that.
Indeed. AAA is meaningless term these days.

Nirth: They are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
I looked into it a year ago. It is difficult for someone from the US to buy on smaller exchanges. You need a full service brokerage (which I don't have or want - I like my cheap trades). Which means you need a lot of money.
Sadly I see no word about Linux plans for CDPR studio in their strategy PDF. Also they removed all mentions about plans for licensing REDengine to others which they had in their previous strategy document.

Linux is dead switch to Windows 7 64-bit and get a free upgrade to Windows 10 64-bit.

Windows 10 is growing fast it's already installed on 200+ million PC's and Windows 10 64-bit is at 34.01% on Steam according to the Steam Hardware Survey.
