I'm in for the $5 game since I already own MM7 (one of my all time favorite games) and 8, and would feel like a jerk if I took those games away from someone else. They are glorious. I really need to replay them. It has been years.
I do want to play MM6 as well some day, but I think I have enough in MM7+8 for now. However there are some pretty sweet games on gog right now that I'd play right away for 5 dollars.
If I won I'd want you to surprise me with one of the following games:
Overclocked: A History of Violence
Codename: ICEMAN
Conquests of Camelot: The Search for the Holy Grail
Conquests of the Longbow: The Legend of Robin Hood
Evil Genius
I'd be super happy with any of them, and it would be fun to be surprised. They all all below the $5 barrier.
As for why I'm in for those specifically, well I will take them in order.
Overclocked: I honestly don't know a whole lot about the game, but from what I've seen on youtube, it looks to be an overlooked adventure game gem, and I'm very much into those. It has been a little while since I've played an adventure game, so I figure this one might just hit the spot for me.
Codename: ICEMAN: I've played this one before waaaay back when. I remember it being impossible to finish without a walkthrough, but it's one of those Sierra adventure games, and I must have it, and replay it. Walkthrough or not.
Conquests of Camelot: I had never heard of this one before it released here on gog. I knew of the other conquest game, but not this one, so I'm keen on trying it. I guess it'll be one of those moon logic games that also require a walkthrough handy, but I'm alright with that.
Conquests of the longbow: I've completed this game back at release, and actually really enjoyed it. I still remember some of the scenes with it, though I don't remember enough to spoil another playthrough. It's again one of those moon logic games that almost certainly requires a walkthrough, but hey. That's Sierra adventure games for you.
Evil Genius: This game is one that slipped through the cracks for me. I just never got around to playing it, and from what I've heard it is quite fun. I love dungeon keeper 2, and this is sorta kinda similar in spirit. It looks cool if nothing else, and it has the humor down, so I'm sure I'll have a grand time of it.
That's it really. I mean I suppose thinking about it, I would enter for MM6 as well. It's just that I honestly don't know when I'd play it. I would play it though, but it might take a couple of months since it's such a huge undertaking, you know? I do want it some day, so it wouldn't just go to waste and sit in my library forever, for what it's worth.
Anyway, I ... I hope I win something. If not, no worries. I will continue to keep an eye out for those games in the future :)
