vBDKv: STEAM SUCKS!!! Especially with their new greedy client. It consumes 40 watts just to have the new Steam running. 40 watts. 40 watts. 40 watts for a drm client. My god.
One's video card often uses a lot more....also how is this thread related?

f1e: But remember, it makes more sense to pay the full price for a game you are itching to play than to buy ten games you will never play at a great discount. Before checkout look at the total and consider if those money would be better spent on fewer but much more relevant games.
Eh, most of us would rather have a bunch of games we might some day play(or family might play) than to have less to choose from to play(even if it's a good game).

Of course spending more to support GOG/your favorite dev is also good. :)

Digital_CHE: I wonder why the FOCUS INTERACTIVE GAMES are not in the Lunar Sale..
Often the theme is just GOG tying together the games it's been allowed to put on sale under one uniting theme(a holiday/season/etc), and NOT all games that fit a theme.

I agree on that and want to add:
I rather spend my money on some 1s and 0s in form of a game rather than let my money rot on a bank account, were it gets devalued every day. In Germany there is a law, that can set your bank account to zero and you can do nothing against it (a lawsuit is not possible according to the law). Draghi was bad for our money, Lagarde will even be worse

If you are capable of german: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrPEyBslnes ("SAG - das unbekannte Gesetz der Enteignung!")
Not intending to start a political discussion - Not trying to change anyones opinion on our current money system.

Additional to the said above, I like to play different games, so I peek into them only a bit. If I stick to a game for 10h, that's long for me (made an exceptional for Titan Quest thought!)
So playing half of the game (or less) means I only wanna spend half of the money on it :-)
But that's my personal habit - might not be fitting for most people.
i think it´s a great idea the featured deals but eight at the same time, wow it´s a crazy, :)

Eh, I would rather spend it on more valuable stuff then if devaluation is a concern. Stuff like long lasting food/books that teach skills/gold&silver&such/etc.

Or, you know, buy the game in the sale AFTER the sale.

That's a wise decision! Even the national bank of the netherlands suggested recently to buy gold and that says a lot about what they think about their "business model" (aka: the €uro).
Food is currently extremely cheap and I have like 1000 (physical) books here. I'm not only collecting games, I'm a bit bibliophile as well.

Since january there is a restriction on buying gold and silver anonymously. You are only allowed to buy up to € 2000 (in Austria and Germany). Germany was even thinking about lowering it to €1000 (considering 1 ounce = 1450€ approx). Reasons are (of course): terrorism and corruption - because they use gold as currency

It's a fun world we live in :-)

And before I forget it again: Thanks GOG for the sale!
Hey, Pajama Sam Vol. 1 is on sale! The issue of missing languages continues to be annoying for sure, but if you don't mind English-only pick it up. And I still hope more Humongous shows up eventually :P

obviously I'll mention Pajama Sam Vol. 2 also (Pajama Sam 3 in Vol. 2 is great but Vol. 1 is the better deal)

BreOl72: I really like that new sales segment.
Me too. Thanks for this GOG!
I actually own a number of those. I can recommend these from deepest discounts:
Postal 2 ⚫ Postal 2 Paradise Lost ⚫ Pandemonium (somewhat recommend) ⚫ Tomb Raider AoD (if you take the time to find and apply the right fixes) ⚫ TR Last Revelation + Chronicles (I didn't enjoy as much as TR1-3 but still good especially at that price)

Recommendations and suggestions for your consideration (not all the deals are especially good so watch out):
Theme Hospital (haven't played in over 15 years but had fun) ⚫ System Shock 2 (but discount's been better); Beyond Good & Evil ⚫ Medal of Honor AA ⚫ Ultimate Doom ⚫ Star Wars Jedi Academy ⚫ Clive Barker's Undying (haven't played yet but I think I can safely recommend) ⚫ Rayman 2 Great Escape ⚫ FEAR Platinum (haven't played yet but I think I can safely recommend) ⚫ Tomb Raider 1-3 ⚫ Crysis ⚫ Redneck Rampage (but not at this discount!); Rayman 3 ⚫ Far Cry ⚫ Shogo (but not at this discount!) ⚫ Flatout ⚫ Flatout 2 (haven't played yet but I think I can safely recommend) ⚫ Serious Sam First Encounter & Second Encounter ⚫ Realms of the Haunting (never finished but it's strange enough to recommend) ⚫ TRON 2.0 (oh yeah!) ⚫ World of Goo ⚫ Gex ⚫ Redline (at the 75% discount, and I cheated to win :p) ⚫ Powerslide (played almost 20 years ago but had fun);

And I still hope that maybe the base drop in Square Enix prices (to Steam's base prices) could mean Squeenix will show fresh life here. :p

Can you guys also put the Blake Stones and Rise of the Triad: Dark War on sale?
Kudos on the sale layout GoG!

I've found the "new" style to be a bit cumbersome at times, but last sale got pretty darn close to being a bit more manageable to "casually browse" (something that had become tedious lately).

Adding in genre categories and keeping it similar to the Holiday Sale has made this one far and away the best of the new style sales to navigate.

Question - do I see ALL the deals in the genre tabs and front page scrolls? Or if I look at everything on sale will I find more stuff?

Lol....i'd just buy a bunch of solid gold jewelry over time from private owners....what, are they gonna track every ring and chain. :)

But this is derailing the thread topic....if you ever want to chat hit me up via PM or my quicktopics(links in my offtopic booagagloo thread in general forums)....later.

You left out a few details:
- it is only a thing if the bank is about to go bankrupt and that bank is relevant to the system
- this only applies to people/companies that deposited >=100000€

But hey why post facts when you aren't "intending to start a political discussion" anyway "
