*sigh* Usually no. One of the forums I used to help out on, it was something like 90% never returned when we had threads like this. They either didn't come back or they forgot about their original thread and started a new one.

Not being negative towards any one here. Forum and forum SEO is a much discussed topic with some folks.

This is one of the reasons why some forums have hints, guides, drop down menus, etc in their New Thread text area boxes. Helps a lot. Of course then you get posters who come back with "Oh, did that apply to me?" or um rather negatives views of their opinions of those hints.

There used to be a bad customer forum connected with a webcomic I used to pay attention to. I think the forums got bought out by a marketing company and split off. Can't find it right off.
