With all the talk about Linux around here lately, we have heard everything there is about its pros and... yeah, right. So, many people say "I wanna try Linux, but I'm not sure" and technical aspects aside the only thing that matters is user experience.

As you can see, some long-time Linux enjoyers are very eager to share their enthusiasm with the lovely community. And they look pretty satisfied themselves too.

Now, let's celebrate the transition with some Steam games. What? You've been using Windows, you're no stranger to sin. Ah, who am I talking to, you haven't even came this far, being permanently lost in the allurments of the previous paragraph.

✔ Al Emmo's Postcards from Anozira
✔ Arsenal of Democracy: A Hearts of Iron Game
✔ Club Manager 2015
✔ Darkest Hour: A Hearts of Iron Game
✔ Disciples III: Renaissance
✔ Frozen Synapse Prime (Double Pack)
✔ Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride
✔ Heroes & Legends: Conquerors of Kolhar
✔ Hoard Complete Pack
✔ Knights & Merchants
Pillarzeogold
✔ Runespell: Overture
✔ Tomb Raider I
✔ Tomb Raider II
✔ Tomb Raider III
✔ Warlock 2: Wrath of the Nagas

This will go on for an unknown period of time, with prize winners announced some time this century if everything goes according to plan.

You are welcome to enter for as many games as you like, but no more than all of them.

Not a requirement, but if you have some interesting computer-related story to share, feel free to do so. Of course, if it involves bashing Linux it is obviously fabricated and I would love to personally commend our creative fiction novelist by sending them a special gift, so they are invited to leave their photo, address and phone number along with a copy of their ID.

And play nice. Bad boys/mean girls be advised! My friend here is the one in charge of picking the winners (lucky winners indeed). Mind you she is very picky and forgives no misdeeds.

Good luck everybody!

Windows is the best! It saved my life. Once when I was taking a walk down a long, dark path, an evil robot mugger tried to stab me. Luckily, it spontaneously shut down just before stabbing me.

I later learned it was running Windows 10 software and the evil builders couldn't figure out how to keep it from rebooting/shutting itself down while connected to the net -- which they had to be to control them.

Double-luckily, they were using Windows with FBI viruses installed, so they were able to track them very quickly. Thank you Windows!

(not sure what an entry requirement is, but I'm just joining the fun. :) - Not in)

It wouldn't be fun if you have encountered penguin-powered terror. Glad to hear somebody finally found an adequate use case for your hero, though.

And the requirements are nil, but if I ever manage to get my hands on Witcher 4 pre-release, you're in for a treat.

I just upgraded my system and I'm still below min system requirements for Witcher 3. So I'm afraid Witcher 4 will hae to wait.

Don't worry, I heard it is going to be a text adventure, something to do with different operating systems opimisations. Apparently, you will be able to play the game and update the system at the same time, while saving precious bandwidth for E.T. to phone home.

I can't wait!

On that note, I intend to one day build a short RPG with a graphics slider that goes Atari to text adventure to 8-bit to 16-bit to N64ish to Witcher 1 to Witcher 2 to Witcher 3 graphics. And you use the graphics slider to solve some parts of the game better.

The idea alone is worthy of a triple-A budget. Awesome!!!

And with your writing style now I can't wait to see that happen.

I think it would make more sense to make your game a pure adventure game rather than an RPG. This way, you don't need to worry about combat and growth systems, and can focus on exploration and puzzle aspects.

Of note, I haven't played it, but Evoland (and its sequel) might be worth checking out.

Edit: I don't use Steam, and therefore I am not in.

Not in for the giveaway, but I will never use Linux ever.
I know you fanboyish people love your Linux, but I just can't have it. It's too difficult to figure out, I fail to see the benefits, and I'm not changing an entire operating system for no reason. I'm comfortable with Windows, and everything is compatible with it. Strike me down all you want for it, but I'm not changing until I see a considerable reason that I should.
You probably don't wanna do much besides glare at me now, but I'll be in for Pillar regardless.
Has it been settled yet?

Nobody will ever force you to ditch Windows for Linux if you feel satisfied with the former.
But do you honestly think we would see threads like this one on GOG forums, that are no Linux-centric forums in any way, if there were no real benefits in using Linux? Do you really think all of us Linux users are running this OS for *no reason*? ;)
Windows, Linux, fine, Steam No.

My co-host will help you install Linux?

Why would you enter for a game that sits in your inbox as we speak? Is this another puzzle?

And feel free to be in for more, I have edited OP to make it clear.

Not a problem. You're still welcome to enter for games if you like.

Well... let's just say they're lucky those medieval torture gagdets got pulled off from the market some centuries ago.

No, but every time I ask, nobody ever tells me.
