That's an awesome graphic despite the edit (understandable so we don't get our hopes up). And I'm sure we'll get the Lara Croft games eventually. Preferably before the other two mainline entries since those are already everywhere.

mechmouse: As I posted elsewhere there is something very interesting (and a little upsetting) about the graphic GoG have used.

Its a altered version of this
https://www.flickr.com/photos/tombraiderofficialflickr/51134097988/in/album-72157718242566762/

Which Square Enix have been using for the recent 25th anniversary posts.

Its a line up of all non-handheld versions of Lara.

Removed from the line up are the 2 Laras holding a golden staff. There are the Laras from the 2 Isometric games. I can assume their removal means we are unlikely to see those here at any point soon.

However, the 2 Laras in the attached picture are from Rise and Shadow. Which we'll hopefully be seeing here soon (hopefully in the next few days!)
Hmm, it seems GOG edited out Anniversary Lara also? (to make it an even 7 Laras on either side?)

I'm not familiar with the last 3 Laras. The very last one on the right seems like the Reloaded mobile game or Fortnite skin?

Anyway, I'm not sure why GOG wouldn't be able to bring Temple of Osiris and Guardian of Light unless they really have important features Squeenix don't want to bother to port. Is the co-op part crucial?

Personally I wouldn't expect Rise and Shadow to show up all that soon since we "just" got Just Cause 1 and 2, but maybe for Christmas or early next year.

ChrisG_: For fucks sake ! i already have these...
Yeah, steam has the very same sale going on, except it has the DRM'd versions of the 3rd trilogy... I gasped at the prospect of having the remaining two but was let down a bit, oh well, they did say that tomb raider games were in the pipeline, here's to it being the last two of the 3rd trilogy!

Been looking a bit closer, I had assumed there was a couple of costume changes in there (as in a couple of games represented twice) but from reading other forums that was wrong.

Those last three Laras (the ones in your picture) are from.

Lara Croft GO
Lara Croft Relic Run (mobile only endless runner)
and the new
Tomb Raider: Reloaded (mobile only)

While its "possible" Lara Croft GO could come here, its unlikely. The other two, due to there platform and design will never come to GoG. Their inclusion in the graphic was a major oversight, specially considering the purposeful omission of ToO and ToL Laras.

As for why Temple of Osiris and Guardian of Light are not coming here, no idea.

Just have it local co-op, they've not it before for other games.

BTW the co-op on those games is amazing. The puzzle parts, really cleverly thought out.

As a big fan of the first of them (Guardian of Light), I can say that the game (both) is completely passable from start to finish in single player mode and all game content is available (that is, the player does not lose anything in terms of content if you cut the multiplayer from the game). However! in single-player mode it is a rather average game in terms of fun. But in co-op mode, the game is incredibly exciting - it is not a trivial addition of a second character, but the characters are divided into roles, each has its own characteristics (abilities) and to pass the game requires the interaction of the players and the characters' abilities. In general, it requires cooperation in the literal sense of the word. (And coop-puzzles are smart and creative with good balance in difficulty)
So it is the (wonderful) co-op mode that unlocks the full potential of the game and makes it so good.
So there's no conceptual problem in releasing these two here (it's definitely not a Hitman DRM-of-the-Year Edition type case, where the single-player content was blocked behind a online-check-wall).

P.S. My personal opinion (about all GOG releases with cut multiplayer, not just the games mentioned specifically): games without multiplayer make sense to release here, but I also think that they should be sold at a reduced base price (compared to versions in other stores that have multiplayer).
I'd love to join your celebration but you'll have to add more Tomb Raider games for me to do so...

low rated
nice discussion
GOG, for #£!&$ sake, learn to post links.

I never played any of them. I wonder if the originals hold up? The wonder of discovering ancient world may be slightly diminished by the ancient graphic. A reviewer mentioned that it was grid-based, which sounds quite fun.

Then there's the newer ones, with less dated graphic, and the 2013 one which looks pretty good. But no clue if the gameplay is worth it.

Depends how's your tolerance for old games. Originals didn't age too gracefully and are very clunky and those aren't slow strategies or RPG's but pure action/platformer games requiring lots of precise jumps and fast movements which might be hard to swallow.
If you want experience classic Tomb Raider formula but in more modern shape I can wholeheartedly recommend the LAU trilogy (Legend, Anniversary, Underworld - where Anniversary is wonderful remake of TR1).
I was one of the people who never into Tomb Rider hype train back then. I tried the 1st one and immediately hate the clunky control. But like a typical hot blooded teen of course I was into different kind of media for Lara Croft ;)

edit: eh maybe for now I'll just message someone
Yeah I think I'm going to call them out on this in a separate thread. Typos aren't necessarily a big deal but not linking correctly to right game pages or whatever? That could be costing them sales. Double-check before you post; is it that hard?; is the forum software so antiquated that it's hard to double-check?

I was homeschooled when the "make Lara nude by doing this in-game" rumors were around. In 8th grade I went to a private school but got to play the TR2 & TR3 demos and eventually the full TR3 game. The official game renders were "nice" ;) The image below sticks out to me.

Hahaha yeah, those 3D renders were waaaaaaay much nicer looking than the original in game graphic (sharp pointy breasts anyone?). I actually few people who got repulsed over most PS1 3D graphic games because I think their graphic was repulsively bad. Most of my PS1 games are high res 2D graphic games like Street Fighter II and Alpha and original 2D side scrolling Rayman and also 2D sprite based RPGs.

I only start to embrace more 3D graphic games after PS2 era started. They finally made games that actually look pretty decent. PS3/XBOX360 era pretty much convince me that the 3D era is finally here. Maybe this is why I'm pretty critical with indie games who made lazy pixelated games.
GREAT NEWS!

We may just see the rest of the TR 3rd trilogy after all!
As Rise/Shadow of the tomb raider just had denuvo removed!

So maybe those graphics were aptly used after all!

EDIT: ...Or at least they're rolling out the changes as I'm still getting the denuvo-reauthentication prompt when starting SOtTR...They have taken it out of Nier replicant so there's hope that they'll get around to both titles soon!

I hope we get the remaining titles here as well, but from what I can gather on the steam forums the devs just exchanged denuvo for epic online services and now people can't play offline at all.
Doesn't sound like something for the GOG store...
