Just in case Tecmo/KOEI ever gets here (or perhaps this may help them get here), I thought i'd raise awareness of KOEI's strategy games that have DOS and Windows versions. Some of these were among the first strategy games i've ever played. Here are some wishlist links to said games.

I think these are the only installments of these series to be released on PC platforms and in English which is why i'm only listing these.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Romance of the Three Kingdoms II
Romance of the Three Kingdoms III
Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV
Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI
Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII

Nobunaga's Ambition
Nobunaga's Ambition II
Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence

Genghis Khan
Genghis Khan II

Bandit Kings of Ancient China
L'Empereur
Liberty or Death
Gemfire
Celtic Tales: Balor of the Evil Eye
Operation Europe
P.T.O. II

I think that covers them. Not sure if they have a chance in hell of getting here, but I thought i'd post these in any case.

Nice, voted.
I've already voted for these long ago. I still rate Genghis Khan II as the best PC strategy game ever made.

I think I rented the SNES version long ago from a local grocery store. I sucked even worse than I do now at strategy games back then lol, but I do remember enjoying it.
Voted for all of them. I would love to have them here.
You forgot the latest Nobunaga's Ambition.

Was kind of hesitant to add it given that it's a newer game which might have a lower chance of going drm-free, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to add it. Much thanks!
I've just remembered the Uncharted Waters games as well, they were early Koei...though they weren't full blown strategy titles, more a mix of strategy, trading and RPG- so maybe don't belong on the list anyway.

Unfortunately not many japanese publishers release here most likely because it's drm-free. Mechmouse had a thread about how Square Enix even abandoned drm-free in their own store. It's sad really.
Yeah, that nobunaga's ambition is in my wishlist, too! Voted! Can't wait to feel the campaign of the "big fool of Owari Province" (he was so self-centered and disrespectful to others while a youth, including traditions and ranks, that his teacher committed seppuku from shame)... The sixth heavenly demon king (self proclaimed title in "pen dueling letter writing" between him and Shingen Takeda who claimed the titled protector of Bhuddhism in Japan; in Bhuddhism, it is an impure soul reigning over the human realm and unclean desires imposed from it to both mortals and other gods). Nobunaga, the first unifier of Japan, a ruthless strategist, a man who did revenge right, burning to the ground an entire hill complete with its castle to conquer it, most of the victims women and children. The man who slaughtered all the warrior monks who opposed him down to the last child and burnt their monasteries to the ground, complete with women and harmless civilians living near the monks and being protected by them. The eccentric military genius and strategist, who was brilliant, even if cruel, earning him the title "Demon". Among the first Japanese who utilized western weapons and incorporated them in their army (firearms of the time). The first Japanese figure of power to wear European clothes and pick an interest in European culture and arts. The first ruler (military ruler, but those had power in Japan mostly anyway, especially during Sengoku era) who accepted Christian missionaries and allowed a church to be built. The man who was almost invincible, but fell betrayed from his trusted man, Mitsuhide Aketchi, in a cowardly attack, inside a temple, Honnoji. He was blessed by the servitude of faithful Ranmaru Mori, a teen boy personal retainer of his, who was also his personal... Er, ahem, mistress (old japanese custom of masters picking as servants and disciples cute little boys and military life aside, be together at bed, too).

That man was a legend. I would play that game anytime, but only DRM Free. And since i don't pirate anymore, it's GOG or nothing...

The one on this list that surprised me the most is Celtic Tales. I had no idea KOEI made a game exclusively for DOS.
So what stops Koei to come on Gog?
