When I heard about his pay it was in the Win95/Win98 era. It could have been total crap, though.

During the last presidential elections in Kazakhstan, the elections committee decided that instead of wasting time counting the votes, they'll just wait and see which of the candidates will be congratulated by Putin...

... unfortunately for them Putin was not congratulating anyone. Putin was receiving congratulations.
