MadalinStroe: As far as I know, the only panels that reach 1000nits(and more) are HDR panels. I've never heard of a non-HDR panel with more than 500nits, though honestly I haven't been keeping an eye out on the monitor market for the last 2 years.
I suspect that you are either mixing contrast with nits(cd/m^2), or you are "trolling" again.
wdym? What exactly did I say wrong?
Jon_Irenicus_PL: I just want to know if HDR and 1000 nits is necessary. No need to be vicious.
BrianSim: Quoting back your own universally downvoted (and half the time locked by the moderators) past threads to you isn't being "vicious", it's simply highlighting the absurdity of your 'questions'. If you want a HDR monitor, or an RTX 3080 or an 8k monitor, then buy one. It's blatantly obvious it isn't 'necessary' when 99% of people don't own one and 99% of games don't support HDR. But the fact you keep framing all your questions in such a way as to want to 'humiliate' or 'shame' anyone who doesn't or declare 'obsolete' anything else even if 99% of people use it, and you keep doing the same thing over and over, month after month, year after year, suggests you have serious reality discernment issues if you genuinely aren't trolling...
I was just wondering if my monitor isn't up to par. Not anything wrong with that. I thought maybe HDR monitors were the standard nowadays, and I was falling behind the times. It's vicious to be obnoxious about it. It's a perfectly legit issue.
