GCKTig: For whatever it may be worth. I looked up contact information and send an e-mail out to multiple adresses I could find. Their customer support, general support and a press e-mail. I also found the CEO's mailing adress, so if there's no replies on the others, I'll go forward with that.
MartiusR: Thanks for making all those extra steps. I'm looking on that reddit thread you've made and if there will be any possibility for others to participate, I would be interested.
(also, a bit offtopic - but many thanks for your incredible work with hosting multiplayer sessions, servers etc, for Giants, things like that are literally sustaining life of this game, not to mention that it's a great bonding experience between players, like meeting a group of friends over favourite board game (in this case over computer game) - and it's a completely different thing than those multiplayer games like Fortnite, where plenty of anonymous people jump in and out - so huge thanks for all this)
Thanks you for the kind words! We're proud of wat we have achieved, and will continue to support Giants for as long as we possibly can. Some of the people in the community go back 25 years, we've all known eachother for a quarter century by now.
I got a reply back from Interplay themselves. It was short and to the point.
"the prices were increased because the costs have risen, and we need to generate more revenue for ongoing development projects"
I don't agree with their reply, so I'm writing a longer message about how communities are the ones keeping their games afloat, making sure there is revenue to begin with.
