GCKTig: For whatever it may be worth. I looked up contact information and send an e-mail out to multiple adresses I could find. Their customer support, general support and a press e-mail. I also found the CEO's mailing adress, so if there's no replies on the others, I'll go forward with that.
Thanks for making all those extra steps. I'm looking on that reddit thread you've made and if there will be any possibility for others to participate, I would be interested.

(also, a bit offtopic - but many thanks for your incredible work with hosting multiplayer sessions, servers etc, for Giants, things like that are literally sustaining life of this game, not to mention that it's a great bonding experience between players, like meeting a group of friends over favourite board game (in this case over computer game) - and it's a completely different thing than those multiplayer games like Fortnite, where plenty of anonymous people jump in and out - so huge thanks for all this)

Iohannis42: There may be an economics lesson in your future...
Perhaps it is the economics themselves I find objectionable. The server distribution cost (bandwidth, electricity, maintenance) is a pittance compared to the average C-Suite's payroll and bonus.
haha :D these guys are nuts

I mean they already raised prices once. A lot of those games used to be like 5.99 and then became 12.99. Kingpin for 20? Earthworm Jim 3D for 20? LOL :DDDDD

I wonder if I should get like DIe by the sword and Titus before they raise the price to 20. Other than that I got the majority of their stuff when they were 5.99, so like whatever

While I share your objection, we must accept how they work if we are to overcome challenges and disagreements.

Thanks you for the kind words! We're proud of wat we have achieved, and will continue to support Giants for as long as we possibly can. Some of the people in the community go back 25 years, we've all known eachother for a quarter century by now.

I got a reply back from Interplay themselves. It was short and to the point.
"the prices were increased because the costs have risen, and we need to generate more revenue for ongoing development projects"

I don't agree with their reply, so I'm writing a longer message about how communities are the ones keeping their games afloat, making sure there is revenue to begin with.

I've now removed all Interplay games from my wishlist, as I don't believe the discounts will be significantly higher, and the prices seem absurdly high to me. This should also send a signal to GOG and Interplay, as I suspect they use customer wishlists to assess the appeal of their games.

It's a shame, as there are some great games on there, but thankfully there are plenty of alternatives, and I already own the classics as physical retail versions anyway.
