The game has an awesome amount of lore, and the music / visuals are incredible - you can really "feel" the origins of it as a years long D&D world that they built up over many, many play sessions.

I'd say if you're on the fence, wait it out. If you want to support them in the early going, dive in and check it out.

Quick question - does anyone know if the free "Prologue" that you can download is the same as the tutorial campaign in the purchased game? I downloaded and installed the prologue - can I delete it if it's the same thing as the first campaign in the full game?
Thanks for sharing your impressions! In the development, a lot will depend on how interesting the quests and encounters and characters will be. The text alone for the makers to write might be about the size of a long novel (even if much less would be read in a single playthrough).

The setting sits well with The Age of Decadence. Vagrus gave me strong vibes of the Eastern reach of the Roman empire. The city that the player gets to visit in the Prologue brings to mind Jerash, in current Jordan: The outskirts of the Empire, in a land were caravans are commonplace.

About the Prologue, it contains two modules. One is a short tutorial that introduces the player to the game mechanics. There the caravan moves along a single track (although how much to advance and when to rest is up to the player). The second module is a short scenario where there is much more freedom of movement. You can reach an outpost, then a city where you can do a variety of tasks. It is enough as an appetizer to give an idea about the world and the kind of gameplay that can be expected.
