Good to see the EA version is on GOG too. Also good that this is party-based.

RedRagan: Leaving a group of human in a generational ship is never a good idea.
But if you are going to spend your entire life on a ship then definitely try to make sure that the lighting is decent at least.

RedRagan: Leaving a group of human in a generational ship is never a good idea. Always put your population in cryostasis and use an AI to find a new planet. This is based on my experience playing Seedship, man I was hoping that game get graphical overhaul.
Nice little game!

Without wanting to give away too much, a great example of the colonization ship with twists that make the trope afresh iis Old Twentieth, by Joe Haldeman, I guess you might well like it.

Also, for an example of cryostasis going deeply wrong, what about the 2009 movie Pandorum? :-)

I guess that can be attributed to maintenance gone awry. With, possibly, better kept areas that some elites keep to themselves.

Mind, access to spare parts may be restricted, they may be rare, and even knowledge about how to actually fix things might have become esoteric, if not lost completely (save for data banks, which might have been altered themselves as well).

(Maintenance gone awry, and also destruction due to conflict, that has not been followed by proper repairs).

I'm looking forward to this! I was watching the progress...
Definitely going to keep an eye on this one after Age of Decadence. Hopefully it's a bit more forgiving though.

Indeed. Even evil corporation like BnL (Buy n' Large) treat their customers good. Sure they polluted earth so bad until it's almost uninhabitable but at least they still leave some robots to clean up the mess and tell robot navigators to keep BnL customers in space indifinitely

Great movie. I really would like to see a sequel about them trying to colonize that new planet.
It looks interesting, but judging by the screenshots the game is too dark for my taste. And it lacks a Linux version, like other Iron Tower Studio games.

Their games work fine under Linux/Wine. In this specific case I understand the devs, they're just too small to provide a support for alternative OSes. I'd count on the support of Linux community.

Linux & MacOS support is planned(they use Unreal 4 this time) but it's not of a top priority, per Dev's words.Seems they'll iron the game content & features first.

Good news, thanks.

The only problem I've got with the game, it's still sooo far from the final product/story.
I'd rather use the next 2 years to try to finish Age of Decadence ;)

That's good news, thanks! No problem when they focus on game content and features for now as the game still is in development. :)
