Takes the "venture" out of "adventure".

**UPDATE**: Couch archeologists who want to take advantage of the game's current low price should hurry! Archeo: Shinar will have its base priced increased in January 24th!

Archeo: Shinar is now available In Development, DRM-free on GOG.com.

See, plundering ancient artifacts is all good and jolly but the dirt, old sport! Ghastly business. And running into savage locals? Or horrible diseases? No no no, a gentleman archeologist does not engage in such barbarity, instead they sit comfortably at their mansion, footing the bill and sending thoughts and prayers for the safety of their underlings doing the legwork. Perhaps conducting some research between tea breaks. Plan the expedition, why not. Possibly avenge their demise by hiring new, more capable ones. All the important stuff, really.

There's community reactions, and then there's sales numbers. We see the first, and not the second.

GOG wants to make money. We can assume that sales projections are by far the most important reason for GOG's decisions on what games to carry and which not to. That those games you consider rubbish keep being released here can only mean that they sell pretty well!

I would also love to see more classic games here. But the wells have dried up. GOG can't release as many old games as back in the day, because most publishers who are willing to do so already have their games here. If a publisher does not want to have their old games on GOG, then there's nothing GOG can do.

I don't see it as abusing the post rating system. You assume that people downvote you not because of post content but personal reasons? I occasionally check these forums and have never noticed your username before, so I guess if you do have a reputation here, it's passed me by so far =)
Downvoting a post in which someone explains why they don't like a game, out of disagreement? That I would call abusing the rating system. Downvoting a post in which someone says they don't like the game, and anyone who likes the game is an eleven-year-old, and the developer didn't put any effort anyway? In my view, that's exactly what the rating system is for…

Planet's Edge and a lot more are out there but I understand that some are hard to track down the owner's and so forth. But I still see Gog going towards Steam and I do not agree with it.Sure, everyone wants money as without it you are destitute and all businesses are only here for that reason.......BUT have you heard of loyalty to your customers and listening to them? It goes a long way in my books and Gog stating that they are listening once in a blue moon is not the same as listening and I have formed my opinion and that is they don't really care.As I said before, this is my opinion and I don't really care what other's may think. The End.
