Seriously going from this list Galaxy is going to be a necessity to get through this shitty library system.

IAmSinistar: Like I say, better a smartass than a dumbass. Though maybe I'm being uncharitable and you are simply conversationally tone deaf. You clearly are unshakeable in your wrong-headedness, something which will serve you well in life if your goal is to get absolutely nowhere of worth as a person.

Nor does it mean it is. But what it does most assuredly mean is that you are blocked from ever knowing which is the case. Being arrogant is not the same as being right, and any overlap of the two is purely coincidental.

DCT: Do you even know what I was complaining about? maybe I should of been more clear. I wasn't talking about people being upset that there was going to be multiple boxes and are being adult about it and suggesting a change in plans for what was one release, yes it would make more sense that there should be one box and multiple installers. I should of clarified. What I was complaing about is how people were reacting though with the usual overreactions and threats about leaving that I always see here. That is what I am bitching about since it's stupid and silly to react to that level over something like that multiple boxes are dumb but not leaving a site over dumb or acting like GOG is catering to the Steam kids or whatever nonsense.
I've been saying that Galaxy would drive me away since Galaxy was announced. Pay attention!

aluinie: no you cant tomb raider 1 - 3 love being bundled together lara will cry if she split her up.
Here's GOG, splitting souls. Makin' horcruxes.

mrkgnao: I especially liked the Heroes Chronicles plot twist, and don't miss the Planetfalla grand finale.
If it can be split, it shall be split! And I assume Planetfalla has something to do with the Infocom game Planetfall, but what I wonder?

There are some good side-effects, such as proper standalones being created (such as Deus). But I fear the loading time for my shelf is about to become untenable.

Again, I know what you are saying but obviously your not getting what I am trying to say.. honestly I don't have the time to sit here all day and play try to explain how what I am saying about people overreacting to stupid shit applies.
Also you do know what I was saying in the quoted post was aimed at Sinstar and not you right? seriously why are you picking things I am saying to other people.

Blood from a turnip, my friend. Or brains of a turnip. Jury's still out. :)

Actually that's not true. There are games that can be split which are not. For example, I believe FEAR can be split, but is not. I tried to find the common denominator for the games on the list. The only one I could find was that they are all currently missing from Galaxy (FEAR is not).

I don't particularly like the fact that sub-games from a bundle end up under different letters when sorted by title (e.g. Deus and Robinson's Requiem).

It's March 15. I've got extensions to file. But this was a fun distraction.

Until I look at my Account tab and realize I have 44 more updates sitting there as unbundling arrives. 0___0

EDIT: OK, OK, it's March 16, but to those with C-Corps or S-Corps to file, it's all good.

As long as every single entry is not named (Game), I will survive.

Ciris:
Would it be possible to remove the blank spaces in the library; where Beta games were that have been removed?

I was being hyperbolic, but this is good insight nonetheless. Would you say it helps affirm the suspicion that these changes are being done specifically for Galaxy?

For me it doesn't matter so much what the source is, in the cases where a game is truly a separate game. Though it does confuse the matter when it's not also sold as such. But I can see the argument from both sides in this case.

I'm running a full backup of my drives, so when this shattering hits my shelf I can truly assess the damage.
As this un-bundling is going ahead, could there be more Custom options for shelves? Beyond the current Purchase date, Alphabetical and all encompassing Manual option. That way folks who want to neaten up their shelves can make a shelf based on games they want to keep together (ie. sometimes the unbundled ones) and then have a Master Shelf that can house these new directories? I've really wanted to create my own, Games owned on GOG / Boxed Games already owned shelf for ages.
Looks like my library is about to E.X.P.L.O.D.E.

Possibly, but not necessarily.

It could be that the Galaxy guys were just delaying adding them to Galaxy because they knew the unbundling gals were about to raise ruckus, and didn't want to be anywhere near the fan.

Makes sense. Also, if the split games are NOT part of Galaxy yet, then the Galaxy team could have been holding off until the divisions were made. No sense doing the same job twice, if they were going to add them and then have to pull and re-add them post split.
