thk47: I used to like Dynasty Warriors and in my opinion DW4 (XL to Empires) is the best of the series but now the brand new series is way too boring for me (the characters looks stupid) until i switch to ROTK series it's may not kind of game for everyone but if you're into DW you should give it a try. Same goes to CoD and for Titanfall never play the game so i don't have opinion about it .
DW 5 and 6 were the best IMO.

Elmofongo: Black Ops 2 was great.
I still have to disagree. :) At least it failed miserably to make me a COD fan.

I think e.g. Crysis 1-2 are IMHO better examples of good new-ish AAA FPS titles. Well, the little I have played them anyway. Also, while not strictly a FPS (but close to it), SpecOps: The Line firefights were the most "movie-like" I've seen so far. It really felt like real footage from a combat zone, without everything constantly blowing up around you like in COD BO2.

For Halo, I didn't really care about the story, but it had some quite memorable scenes/areas. Those were what made it a good game in my book.

I like the Koei Warriors games, but hate how they do them lately (=no local coop, too much DLC).

timppu: What is the stigma that Halo games carry?
Some of the games mentioned aren't stigmatized for what they are so much as for the trends they started (who can forget Harry Potter: Gears of War). That’s hardly their fault though, they can’t help it if executives look at success and try to emulate it with none of the understanding or context.

I am saying its best in terms of Call of Duty games. Of course I think Crysis 1 is the better game. Only thing Crysis 1 does not have is that addicting Zombie mode.

Also Crysis 3 was really good.

Another thing I love is Monster Hunter. Ever since MH2,I've been hooked in the series.
MH4U really is the best of the series.I know people say it's a grindfest and repetitive as hell but I think it's really worth the money even at full price.
Same goes with Persona and Shin Megami Tensei. I've heard everything bad from them:"boring, slow, weaboo series with robo-waifu,emo game, pretentious and grindfest". But the story, gameplay and writing are excelent and the characters are relatable and likeble.
Old Dynasty Warriors games are awesome indeed (DW4 is best). DW5 was the last good game of the series though.

I find people were too harsh on the underwater monsers in Gen 3.

I find it awesome that we get to fight sea monsters. Some bigger than Whales.

l0rdtr3k: Yes I buy COD every year.
Ghosts is the worst of the series. Stay away from it.

P1na: Then I will say you are indeed an idiot to my eyes.

And thanks for the advice, but I stay away of them all so I should be safe.

DW8 is not that bad. It's still quite the great game and a great entry in the series.

I think that they were badly executed.

Still it gave the game a bigger scope we can fight flying, land, and sea monsters.

Also I never had that big of a problem with the controls.

I think Titanfall is pretty rad. I loved the vertical element, how cool wallrunning is and its PvE element lets people like me, who prefer older shooters and thus know cover is for pussies and like to jump right into the fire, to get some kills before getting ass raped. The only bad thing about Titanfall is how little impact it had.

I love MGS 3 too, so /highfive.

It feels bland in my opinion. They add more and more characters, yet 90% of old characters lack screen time, if you will remove some of them, there will be no difference for story. Game process is also boring, i cant get enjoyment from destroying hordes of enemies because you can kill them just with one button while they are standing and staring at you, in previous games soldiers were more aggressive and tough. Soundtrack is "generic metal" style, character's personalities are still the same "Chaos, Justice, BENEVOLENCE!". Its not all but well... I don't think Koei will try to change something anyway.
Sigh...I am a long time sufferer but are very hopeful about Blops 3, liking the Deus Ex augmentation angle.

l0rdtr3k: "thinking man" games like Metal Gear Solid
Thinking men hide in cardboards and battle enemies able to wield a Vulcan gun? If you say so.
