ReynardFox: Outside of two games, Castlevania's backbone has always been Nintendo, so naturally this Kickstarter doesn't support said systems even as stretch goals.

Shame on you Igarashi.
wow you are right no Nintendo system, let´s hope that if this game does well, Nintendo will put money on the table to have a metroidvania on 3ds.
Heh, project goal smashed within a few hours. People are crazy, spending money out of hot air (ie.Broken Age)...

EndlessKnight: P.S. - Could you link that article about Crysis 3 and the Wii U? That sounds interesting and I would love to read it. :)

ReynardFox: I'll see if i can dig it up, but the site I got the story from had a catastrophic server failure and lost a lot of data. Though honestly Crytek didn't say much other than "we threw part of Crysis 3 onto the system and it ran extremely well", I believe they said 30+ fps at 720p with PC Ultra level lighting, and that it could have hit 1080p if they could disable the gamepad usage on the devkit,
From what I have read in the past, it sounds like they could not simply throw it onto the system due to the the Power PC chip of the Wii U using big endian vs the x86 chips used in modern PC/Mac/XB1/PS4 using little endian mode. They do their math in the opposite direction and would require some work to change all of the code. At least according to the explanations I have read in the past. Here is one. A page or so down is a post from waterboysh that talks about it.

In any case, they really should bring it to the Wii U now that they have all this funding and I hope that they do.
"$1.000.000

Cheat codes"

Seriously? 150.000$ for cheat codes?

EndlessKnight: ...
I do understand that going from X86 to PPC isn't completely straight forward, and I'm sure Crytek already had a compiler because they are enormous nerds, but there's a definite misconception as to how difficult it is to work with Nintendo's hardware. Like good old EA saying Frostbite 3 could never work because the CPU was too slow. it was directly after this in fact that Crytek came out and said Cryengine 3 ran just fine on the hardware, when Cryengine 3 is actually far more CPU intensive than Frostbite.

And yeah, they've made enough money that it's time to bring Bloodstained to Wii U.

In a world where people accept and even demand pre-release DLC, I'm not surprised. :s

Stretch goals are only the beginning. Unlock enough backer achievements by submitting fanart, making cool things, and joining us on social media, and you’ll unlock Backer Inventory items that will change the campaign and trigger exclusive rewards.
I'm awaiting the year when you actually have to join a religious cult to get the complete version of a game.

Perhaps they had big head mode active when they decided that sounded reasonable.
I've loved every Castlevania he has done. I'm disappointed though there is no option for either PC DRM Free or Wii U disc versions. If there was I'd pledge for the $100 tier. I don't plan to get an XB1/PS4 and won't pay that for a steam locked game.

Still a month to go, so maybe it will change.
i dont think that a wii u versión will be available just because the game is schedule to reléase 2017 according to the kickstarter website. By that time everyone should be making NX games.

A 3ds versión yes sure. Both Gunvolt and mighty number 9 they are (or will) on Nintendo consoles as well
Very cool. Any word of GOG support for the game?
I can't in good conscience back this game in any way shape or form in its currant state. I just don't like or support steam. Bring out the possibility for a version on GOG though, and I am there. I have loved every Castlevania game I have ever played. I would hate to miss this one, a game that is oozing so much potential, just because they made the mistake of making it a steam only game for the PC instead of GOG.

My thanks go out to VanishedOne for showing me a link to this post.

Yep, came back to mention this. With the exception of the David Hayter goal, none of the goals after the initialy $500,000 make a lot of sense to me.
Meh, Steam exclusive. Didn't even have a chance to get excited.
Anyone had a response about a DRM-free version yet? I only just heard about this and don't have time to read the thread right now.

I sent a message to Igarashi on KS almost 2 weeks ago, no response as of yet.

That they haven't even replied doesn't bode well.
