Thats the spirit!
"Romeo and Juliet and Zombies and Pirates and NInjas!"
May I suggest the sudden turn of events?
"Cloned Romeo and Juliet and Zombies and Pirates and NInjas!"
Or:
"Zombie Romeo and Juilet the Pirate vs Ninjas!"
"Romeo must die" has a whole new meaning!...

Everyone's too scared to make original movies because budgets have ballooned. If one movie tanks at the box office, they're out of a job. So, they remake films in the hopes that the classic rubs off on their "new" movie.
Personally, I don't mind satires and parodies. Pride and Prejudice with zombies? I'm there! Remaking The Rocky Horror Show? Sacrilege!
Make sequels! Hellboy 3! Spaceballs 2! Especially with the original director and cast. Those films I want to see. :)

"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away." - Phillip K. Dick

If you leave earth in a spaceship traveling at the speed of light, time for the rest of the universe 'relatively speaking' stands still. Ok so time on Earth appears to stand still.... now supposing back on earth they launch a spaceship that travels twice as fast as the one you are in, and it catches up to you.... how do you explain that a planet frozen in time can do that? because reality is reality despite relativity, that's why.
Or perhaps the faster spaceship is going backwards in time relative to you... or is it forwards in time relative to you?? scratches head?? lol
Relativity/time dilation terms are always based on the observer... so you're right there.

I see no reason why you could never developing technology giving you mastery over mass and that would go a long way toward making it possible..... and its all about 'relativity' so you could make it so that from the universes perspective your mass was zero, but from your own perspective its not... that should work? I wonder if negative mass could put you over the speed of light?? lol Imagine the 'warp field' in startrek is really a negative mass bubble!

I can think of only two movie remakes that I actually like better than the originals:
- Sabrina: Less cheese, better actors, and overall better chemistry between said actors make for a much better movie.
- True Grit: More faithful to the book and a more realistic look of the Old West.
Damn it, Janet! ... I wonder if they will have midnight showings of that one 30 years later for them weirdos. =P
P.S. While I like some of the music, the original movie wasn't that great to begin with. It can only go down from there.

It's one of my favorite movies of all time. For me, I didn't really like it the first time I watched it, but then a few months later I said to myself "I think I'm missing something, I should go rewatch it" and was blown away at how much I liked it.

The insanity continues:
King Arthur legend is to become a crime a police procedural tv series on Fox, while NBC is making a "sexy contemporary take on Oliver Twist with a struggling 20-something female".
I think it's time to shut down the whole "TV" thing. It's clearly broken beyond all repair.
